A new golden age of white boxing?

The more I watch, the more I think 10 years from now we will look back at this time and the years to come as a golden age for white boxing.

The Eastern Euros have own the heavyweight division right now and they seem to have the best prospects in the pipe right now; Povetkin, Boytsov, etc. Light Heavy and Super Middie are also all white and a good majority of the guys in the rankings are white as well. You've got guys coming up like Pavlik, Bute, Donovan George, Andy Lee, Litzau, Duddy - the list goes on.

Quite a fun time to be boxing fan and a caste system enemy, I must say.

The fact that East Euros own the heavyweight division is rationalized by the biased and bigoted American media by saying the heavyweight divison today is a joke and black Americans are going into other sports.

15 of the 20 belts from heavyweight to middleweight are owned by whites.

Boxing is better today than ever, as in the old days they didn't have to compete against Eastern Euros (because of communism).

Maybe an asterisk needs to go by the names of Ali, Ray Leonard and Joe Louis?

That's an interesting observation, Bunnyman.

We hear all the time about how you cannot really evaluate how good Babe Ruth was because a certain percentage of the population were not involved in baseball, so the same argument could be made in boxing. In addition to Eastern Europeans, Cuba had many world class fighters that never fought the champions of the day. I beleive there was some talk of an Ali Teófilo Stevenson fight being set up, but it never came off.
