Australia won in a blowout. Happy for mastermulti of Australia but I don't think he even follows basketball. It is the first time that Australia has ever
won a medal in the sport of basketball in the Olympics History. Congrats to the Aussies. Slovenia just looked flat and lethargic most of the game.

23 year old American Nelly Korda won gold in the women's golf tournament. In June she won the women's PGA, her first major title. She's currently the number one player in the world, ending a long streak of Asian domination. As I mentioned in the Golf forum, she's the daughter of two Czech professional tennis players who became U.S. citizens. Her father Petr Korda won the 1998 Australian Open, and her sister Jessica is also on the LPGA Tour, obviously a family of great athletes.

Oh, and the medal ceremony and playing of the U.S. National Anthem was a joy to watch, none of the disgusting antics of the communist girls on the U.S. soccer team. Nelly is very reserved but her sister Jessica and other members of the American contingent cried while the anthem was played:

It's stories like this that refresh our hope going forward. This communist cancer rising up is waking up alot of Americans. It might be good thing if it's not to late
to stop this push to end the republic. I for one will never stop fighting for the country I love. She is so beautiful and incredibly talented! Great story.

I know almost nothing about indoor cycling, but Jennifer Valente just won an unexpected gold for the USA to tie China. In an Olympics where the vaunted affletes of America have largely failed to live up to expectation, it's great to see medal count being tied by a blonde blue eyed girl.

Alright, so I decided to do the math, just to see how many American gold medals were earned by whites:

America won 39 gold medals in total.

22 of these were won by individual white athletes: Valarie Allman, Jade Carey, Ryan Crouser, Caeleb Dressel (x3), Amber English, Robert Finke (x2), Vincent Hancock, Nevin Harrison, Lydia Jacoby, Chase Kalisz, Nelly Korda, Katie Ledecky (x2), Carissa Moore, Katie Nageotte, William Shaner, David Taylor, Jennifer Valente, Anastasija Zolotic.

3 were won by teams of all white athletes: men's 4x100m freestyle relay (4/4 white), men's 4x100m medley relay (4/4 white), women's beach volleyball (2/2 white).

4 were won by teams including white athletes: women's 3x3 basketball (2/4 white), women's basketball (3/12 white), women's volleyball (7/12 white), women's water polo (12/13 white).

So now we add up 22 + 3 + 2/4 + 3/12 + 7/12 + 12/13, and we get 27.26 medals out of 39, which is 69.89% of all USA gold medals. Non-Hispanic whites make up 60.07% of the USA population (according to the most recent data), so it looks like they overachieved as usual!

Half-White half-Asian Xander Schauffele won gold in golf and you didn't mention him above. If Whites won 70% of U.S. gold, what was the percentage of "black gold" (pun intended)?

I did leave out Schauffele, as well as Lee Kiefer (fencing) and Justine Wong-Orantes (women's volleyball), both half-white and half-Asian. I know that Sunisa Lee (artistic gymnastics) has an Asian mother but I can't find any info on her biological father. With Schauffele, Kiefer, and Wong-Orantes, whites make up 75.23% of USA golds. If you include Lee, that's 77.79%. The remaining 22.21% is black (I'm sure there are plenty of black/white and black/Hispanic mixes, but they'd be included under black golds anyway), all of those medals being earned in track (2, plus 2 all-black relay teams), wrestling (2), women's 3x3 basketball (2/4), men's basketball (all black), women's basketball (9/12), women's volleyball (4/12), and women's water polo (1/13).

Naturally, as demonstrated in this video, NBC Sports would have you think that black athletes accounted for nearly all of the USA's golds, judging by the racial composition of the closing ceremony (if indeed this farcical display can even be considered a "ceremony" of any sort):

Gwen Berry is a disgrace to women's athletics, to USA and all other free nations...Maybe Berry is a tranny as well, at the bare minimum she is a freak....
In the picture of the 4 Chinese 3 are men and 1 is female. the men are wearing prosthetic va jay jays. One cant put anything value-wise into hip ratio..just look at Nadine Visser she literally has no hips but she is definitely a female and a hottie.

Gotta say I am even more impressed with Cole Hocker, he quietly finished 6th with a PB. He was faced with the very best in the world(Ingebritsen) and acquitted himself very well, on the other-hand Centrowitz did nothing much....

It looks like Marcell Jacobs may have his 100m gold medal stripped. If so, it will go to Fred Kerley of the USA, giving us a total of 40 golds. In that case, the aforementioned percentages would become 68.14% (whites only), 73.35% (whites plus Schauffele, Kiefer, and Wong-Orantes), and 75.85% (all of the above plus Lee), leaving 24.15% for the black athletes. So whites would still have overperformed by quite a bit.

All I've heard about this is he's been linked to a nutritionist who's embroiled in a PED scandal. If that's all the evidence they have, then all things being equal, he won't be stripped. Recall that Usain Bolt had a similar link to Glen Mills, an even bigger PED pusher than the one linked to Marcell Jabocs, and nothing ever came of it. I wonder why.

This Olympics was the least interesting in the 30 something years that I can remember. As documented above, there were many great achievements for White athletes. However, in my mind there weren’t many memorable moments. My take aways will be:
  • Warholm smashing his own record in the 400 meter hurdles.
  • Simone Biles’ GOAT narrative and BLM push by media collapsing in real-time.
  • The tranny weightlifter failing in epic fashion.
  • The woke US wahmen’s soccer team being eliminated.
  • The absurd spectacle of athletes “masked up”.

Outkick carried an article recently wondering if it isn't time to end the Olympics. The answer is yes. The Olympics are undoubtedly classified as "too big to fail," but they're just plain too big. What a colossal headache the Games were for Tokyo and the Japanese, not to mention the $15 billion wasted on hosting them in front of no spectators. Host countries have to set up colossal police states to run them, while the citizens of host cities are greatly impinged by all the restrictions that take place.

The original idea behind the Olympics was to promote and honor amateur athletics, which of course are long gone now, as best exemplified by the U.S.'s stable of millionaires in the prominent sports ("prominent" meaning the ones NBC is interested in hyping). And of course there's the "wokeness" and freak show factors. The corporate media used to mock the muscular female athletes from the USSR and the Eastern Bloc in the "old days," but now muscular and burly girls are prized and held up as great role models.

Corporatized, politicized and weaponized, the Olympics have been ruined just like everything else has been by Globohomo. And the horrible ratings only bolster the reality that there's precious little interest in them anymore despite the best efforts of the system to create excitement.

I doubt Marcell is going to be stripped, I heard a figure of 85-90% individual gold wins of the US being from whites.

Put me in the yes column. The only network coverage I watched was at a pizza shop and that coverage was of BMX and the golf. Half the stuff seems X-Games related which means about 1% of the world even knows what they are and those are rich spoiled pampered privilege woke set of obnoxious kids, that stuff should be reserved for ESPN. And secondly a dude like me is not going to watch network coverage when the actual highlights are posted within hours. I watched 38 seconds of the 4x100 relay where Tortu anchored, do I need to watch minutes of woke garbage? Hell no.

don't overlook teddy riner losing in judo and missing the chance to tie the record for most wins in a row at the olympics :campeon:

I do hate to keep harping on the Biles situation, and if a staff member wants me to stop posting about it, I will certainly comply. But I do want to clear up a few misconceptions about her alleged illness, then anyone is free to make up their mind as they please.

On the subject of gymnastics, I'm no more knowledgeable than anyone else here, so I won't try to defend or refute the proposition that she's the GOAT of the sport. Certainly, if she's considered the GOAT at the end of 2016, nothing she does from there can take that title away from her (Tom Brady could lead the Buccaneers to 10 straight winless seasons and he'd still be the NFL goat), but that's neither here nor there. What I do know is that I can't think of any reason other than illness that might cause her to drop out of the Olympics.

It seems that "pressure" or "fear of losing" are the most often cited reasons, but how much pressure could there possibly be for a 24 year old gymnast who had already won a handful of gold medals at the Rio Olympics (in addition to numerous world championship titles)? It isn't like there was some young gymnast who had recently emerged as a threat to her dominance, in fact, all of the gymnasts in Tokyo finished with much lower scores across the board than their Rio counterparts.

As before, if anyone would like to pose an alternate explanation, I'm all ears, but I've heard none so far, and when you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth. Is it so inconceivable to think that perhaps she was actually too ill to compete? Whether one wants to call her illness an "extreme headache" or "the twisties" or "coronavirus twisty omega variant" makes no difference, it's just amazing that such a simple claim as "I'm feeling too dizzy to perform" is met with such skepticism.

In any case, I do appreciate the temporary reprieve from hearing the media praise her gymnastics accomplishments 24/7, and I'm certainly not looking forward to all of the talk about how brave and stunning it was for her to quit. I don't think it was brave and stunning, but I don't think it was an act of cowardice either, given the available information.

Hate to agree. Olympics used to showcase a diversity of skillset throughout the world and credit it indirectly. Now, (more than ever), the big colonizing nations accumulate medal-winners by fast-tracking them. Shame on it all. Sorry I'm not proud of "olympic female skateboarding" and the next 25 medals it brings home.
