Since 2005 white starters were 8,9,8,7,9,10,8,6,5,4,3,3,5,6 and around 6 last season. This year about 4.

I guess the SEC thinks its hip to have all black defenses. This is my 4th SEC write up and still not a honky in sight. Highly touted TE freshman Baylor Cupp broke his foot right before last season and should finally see the field. The biggest interest is 6'5" sophomore WR Caleb Chapman. Listed on the two deep he appears to be in the mold of CM's dad Ed and I think his talents will start to shine through this year. A down the road talent to watch is freshman QB Haynes King. Terrific wheels.

Players to watch: OL Luke Matthews, OL Blake Trainer, QB Zach Calzada, WR Caleb Chapman, TE Blake Cupp.

OFFENSE:
FB Cagan Baldree (SR)
OT Carson Green (SR)
OG Jared Hocker (SR)
OC Ryan McCollum (SR)

DEFENSE:

I hate this team and their alien faced black quarterback who will no doubt receive draft hype.

Some bad news and potential good news. Although I wouldn't put the good news in the piggy bank. This is the SEC you know. Getting white skill players onto the field is like climbing Mount Everest.

For the second year in a row highly touted TE Blake Cupp will miss the season. This go around a shoulder injury. Another potential TE playing Blake Smith is out with a knee injury. Looks like they will start a black TE and the back up might be converted defensive sophomore Max Wright.

On the WR front one player tore an ACL over the summer and another starter just opted out for the season. This means ( we hope) that Caleb Chapman's role will be dramatically expanded.
