Anthony Firkser went 8/113/1 after starter Jonnu Smith suffered an ankle sprain early in the Titans-Texans game. Yet another White tight end who almost effortlessly excels when given an opportunity. Firkser and George Kittle had the best receiving days yesterday among overachievers.

Most know about the Troy Apke being benched saga and as I said I probably will never mention his name again because no one will likely ever see him again.

But some other mysterious Washington matters of concern involve a couple of other players. Edge Ryan Kerrigan is nothing but a once in a while player now who is rotting on the bench. He played a grand total of seven snaps Sunday but still managed a sack. He had two stellar sacks in the opener but Del Rio and the boys have been reluctant to give him real playing time. The Washington media is too busy hyping the youngsters they have brought in the past couple of seasons. To add insult to injury when he does play he usually makes something happen in the other team's backfield.

LB Cole Holcomb was banged up a bit early in the season but as far as I know he was in full health in the opener and he never saw the field. Yesterday he played 31 snaps in a back up role (65%). And he looked like their only linebacker worth the pound of salt. His speed and range is clearly better than the stiffs that play ahead of him. Ironic that Cole saw his most action this year while Apke is benched. Is Del Rio keeping the white ratio "in balance" with these maneuvers?

Young athletic white linebackers are being held back unnecessarily if you ask me. And they all have one thing in common They can all scoot and add the kind of dash of athleticism that stands out. Instead of being entrenched early in their careers they are hanging on by a thread primarily as special teams players. Holcomb who started some games last season finished with 105 tackles which is impressive for a young player.

Holcomb joins the Packers Ty Summers and the Rams Troy Reeder as players who have more than enough to be staple starters in this league. Sadly, at least so far, teams are reluctant to hand over the reigns to them.

Yeah, a lot of them came in from LA and other places. Now that crowd has settled in, replacing a lot of the traditional tourists that used to go to The Strip. And as the compiler of those videos notes, the Vegas media blacks out what's going on, meaning a lot of tourists are going to be unpleasantly surprised by the Strip's new demographics. Hopefully nothing more than being shocked happens to most of them.
Don, same thing is happening at Myrtle Beach and North Myrtle Beach, S.C. Blacks have shootouts almost every weekend at the beaches even during covid restrictions. I am talking about running gunfights in the streets. They had one at a hotel Saturday night. If anybody is planning to go there for a vacation, please carry a weapon. I am not exaggerating one bit.

I can't believe Gase is still head coach and has survived. I actually thought Gase was trying to right the ship in Miami that Jeff Ireland/Philbin, Tannenbaum turned it into a loser. Looks like Gase was part of the problem as well. I remember having dialogue with @Tannehill17 about the type of changes Gase was trying to make in Miami. I feel stupid now for thinking Gase would of been the solution.
When you have a Ferrari it's hard to lose a race to an ordinary Mustang.

That's what Peyton Manning was, similarly "Sweet Daddy Cool"(Arians) had this qb guru label because of him too. We have seen what Josh Daniels did in Denver, the list goes on. I have a feeling butterball Bienenemy will crash and burn without Mahomes.

PS, I also think Gase has mentally checked out and knows he is a dead man walking. In another era he probably would have resigned but because of contracts he has to get fired for his contract to be guaranteed.

The Bills are woefully undermanned tonight. Going to be tough for them to win.

McDermott sitting two good white d-linemen doesn't help matters. A real dumb call on his part. Also saw the Bills are 28th in the NFL in rushing.

Bills have Harrison Phillips and Trent Murphy inactive tonight

According to Buck and Aikman, McDermott was sending a message to underperforming players by making Phillips and Murphy healthy scratches for today’s game....hmm, isn’t that interesting...

I’m sure it’s happened sometime in history, but I personally can’t remember an instance where a black starter was scratched from a game due to poor performance... I almost hit the floor when I heard that.. McDermott can go to hell...

Yea have to go with the soft targets not the ones that will cause a locker room schism aka black locker room pandering/politics. Hopefully the Bills rush defense gets gashed but the Bills win the game. Then he can't blame whitey for defensive issues.

Kelce TD.
Beats Edmunds, who I’m sure will be disciplined by big bad coach...

No, they’ll figure a way to blame AJ Klein.. and btw, wasn’t Klein a priority free agent? He has pretty much been relegated to special teams. He’s only in because Milano is out.. same going on with Heath with the Raiders...

Allen with the TD pass into the tight window - Diggs did a good job getting both feet down in bounds.

@Upside - totally forgot that the Bills have Ed Oliver on the team - he was a big time hype job in college and during the draft process. Isn't much for a run defender in the NFL it seems though.

Scouting report on Ed Oliver...no rush defense in college and it's carried over to the NFL. Yet he was worth the 9th pick in the draft.

https://thedraftnetwork.com/player/ed-oliver

And add in Jerry Hughes and Mario Addison bolting upfield damn near every play leaving their lanes open, and that probably explains the problems stopping the run.. but I guess a coach can score some posse points by blaming Whitey...
