I think playing Stidham was a win, win for the Patriots, if he was the goods he would be long term solution if he face planted the Patriots would be set up to grab a player near the top of the board. With the semi shot Newton they are in 7 and 9 to 9 and 7 territory which is a no mans land territory where you get a middle of the pack prospect and only a mediocre first round level qb...

Scam's decline is obvious - he has been in decline for the past few years. He was a hail mary for BB to try and stoke his ego to prove he could win without Brady right away using a different offense. For as much as Aikman and Buck brought up Goff in his super bowl loss against the Pats they never once mention Scam and his long decline from his lone super bowl appearance in which he did not recover that fumble - one of the bigger choke plays in SB history.

Maybe with a full preseason/training camp experience Stidham would of been the guy but rather than take his lumps during the season (which all QBs do) BB opted for the perceived path of least resistance.

Don't be surprised if Belichick drafts Trey Lance next year. I believe he's gone full caste.

Belichick’s ego is his downfall. But good coaching elevates a player just as good players elevate a coach. It is a marriage.

The Patriots are a junk team now, with an absolutely horrible QB, their best player Edelman banged up and missing most of the year, their do-everything back Burkhead on IR and a mostly scrub defense. Terrible drafts over the last few years don’t help.

And Brady, for all his greatness, is dealing with a horrible SJW coach in Arians who is clueless.

I’m guessing both Brady and Belichick might be reminiscing about the good old days right about now.

I think so as BB isn't under the hot seat to win now and a full rebuild wouldn't put him under the hot seat for years. I think by that time he will have passed the keys to the Caddie so to speak to either Daniels or possibly his son who is a fast rising coach.

Looks like Scam will stay starting, that's fine. He only needs 4 more INTs over next 3 games to tie Wentz for most INTs at 15.

Right now he has the worse TD to INT ratio in last 30 years 5:11.

I am hoping Lance is a media hype job more so than being viewed as a 1st round qb. If anyone else follows the draft compare Lance and Ehlinger during the process - physically they are very similar so watch the combine and see how they are treated. Ehlinger was a consistently very good player while Lance had one year on the most dominant fcs team of the past decade.

I guess Matt Cassell was a little more than just an aberration. BB thought since he won with Cassell he could do the same with Scam.

Cassell was mediocre at best. The Pats were 16-0 the year before. Cassell went 11-5. Good for him, he parlayed that into a big contract with the Chiefs.

I agree. Cassell was another typical journeyman type QB. I just think that BB went back to Cassell in his mind and said if he was able to win with Cassell he could win with Scam. I don't think we can deny that Cassell's ability to throw the ball was better than Scam's though. Also, Cassell was playing on a team with capable options at WR and not the limited offense BB thought he could utilize with Scam.

A few observations on some of the games today.

Texans vs Bears will be a dumping ground on the Bears and Trubisky because they did not draft Watson instead.

Cardinals vs Giants - Daniel Jones is back from a hamstring injury. He will be going up against Magical Midget Jr. who has hit a wall over the 2nd half of the season. The Giants did a great job against the Dung Beetle last week on defense so hopefully they are able to do the same this week. As for Jones I hope his injury will not hamper his play today.

Makes it even easier to cheer on The Giants! Let's hope their blue collar defenders get after it today!

Jones out dueling Murray would be sweet as well.

Yea it's ridiculous. Really rooting big time for the Giants today - I hope Daniel Jones hamstring holds up. The Giants played an exceptional game against the Seahawks last week and like every good team have seemed to discover that a between the tackles run game is a good thing. Hopefully Engram doesn't have too many costly drops today.

Isabella needs to be traded to a team like Minnesota, or New England once they have a QB capable of passing at a pro level.

Good news about Giants running game being a major reason why they've turned around their season..Doubly good news as a Defense led by Kliff Kucksberry has no interest in run defense.

Good evening (well atleast it’s evening here) from the south Swedish highlands to y’all!
Let’s hope for a nice sunday of football and much success for the white players.
They did their best trying to pitch Jefferson as an absolutely fantastic WR in the pre-game talks. Hope Thielen has a great game
