Since 2005, Duke has started 11, 10, 7, 7, 7, 9, 10, 7, 7, 11 10 6, 5 and 4 white athletes. No write up was done in 2013. They make a modest jump to 6 white starters for 2020.

Chase Brice is the big name here. A Clemson back up QB with starting pedigree will finally get his chance. He saved Clemson's season two years ago. Hopefully he has a strong final season which will garner him draft consideration. Let's also hope for big things from WR Jake Bobo.

Players to look out for are QBs Chris Katrenick and Gunnar Holberg, TE Jake Marwede.

Offense
QB - Chase Brice
WR - Jake Bobo
TE - Noah Gray
LT - Casey Holman
C - Will Taylor

Defense
DT - Ben Frye

Presbyterian senior LB Colby Campbell transferred to Duke.
Campbell (6'0/230) was an unrated recruit coming out of high school in 2017, but very quickly made a name for himself at Presbyterian. After being a rotational player as a true freshman, Campbell seized a starting job that he held for the following three seasons. Campbell earned all-conference honors in his final season, after having set a Division-I record for tackles in a single season with 150 back in 2019. It's clear Duke are getting a player far too talented for the level of play he was at, so he should be able to make the transition up to the FBS and make an impact early at Duke.

Congrats to Campbell and cheers to coach David Cutcliffe for pulling the trigger. Duke has been trending down in the wins column as well as the whites column since Cutcliffe's initial successes 7-8 years ago. A Duke degree holds a lot of value as a pitch to these types of up-transfer athletes. I'm sure the campus experience is a great time too. No reason Cutcliffe should not be zeroing in on this type of transfer target to improve his mediocre roster.
