Looks like Ark St Forrest Merrill is the real deal as an interior DL. Twentytwo mentioned him last week I believe.
Yes sir Leonardfan! At 6'-1" 338lbs Forrest Merrill is a cross between a tree stump mixed with a pit bull!
Good to see Mountain West Pre-season Defensive Player of the Year LB Justin Rice was able to transfer to Arkansas State! = Instant Impact!

Good to see Freshman Lincoln Pare step up! 4 carries for 65 yards (long of 58)....Ryan Graham being brought along slowly playing w awkward knee brace (injury last year) 7 carries for 24 yards + 1 rec 20 yards

K-St Harry Trotter finished w 43 yards rushing on 16 carries & TD

YIKES to the Power 5 Big 12 losing to the Sun Belt TWICE today!

Hope Notre Dame WR Bennett Schwronek can shake the hamstring issue

Cant verify but it Looked like Florida State Freshman D-End #39 Josh Griffis got the Start; if not he played plenty early; on what could almost pass as a SWAC team
GaTech LB David Curry fumble recovery and nice run ; game changing play. Called the "heart n soul of the defense"

Taylor Morin Punt Returner for WF
Clemson Freshman Brian Bresee (6'-5" 300) already a STRONG ONE ARMED Tackle for loss on 1st drive!
LB Jake Venables getting the start for James Skalski (out 1st half)

Big 10 will revote Tomorrow to play.... hope ASAP

Thomas Henningan of App. State 5 receptions for 120 yards ( 51 yd TD)! Sorry to miss that!

Clemson TE JC chalk with the TD. Also #13 Spector as a freshman made a nice catch and appear allusive. Another TE Allen has got quite a few plays in and maybe even a walk on WR Mays in the game for a few plays ( I missed the number but spotted the paleface, might have been #19. Clemson is going to be dominant this year.

I’m loving Purdue with their 2 s white starting safeties. Rs Senior Masterson and freshman Anderson. The games not pretty for WF but they’re playing well and these passes are being given up by the black corners.

Trevor Lawrence already solidifying himself as the #1 overall pick......18/23 for 261 yards and 3 TDS (2 rushing) in the first half. The kid is beyond special.

Yea pretty amazing. It all seems easy to him. Like I mentioned in the draft thread probably the best QB prospect since Andrew Luck.

Don't forget Sam Ehlinger either - he looks much improved in his passing game. If Jordan Love is a freaking 1st round pick then Ehlinger should be considered a top 20 pick.

Lawrence always looks like he’s half assing out there in my opinion, which just shows he knows he doesn’t even have to try, and knows he’s the best. Coasting to the playoffs then draft.

Ehlinger to Schooler for the TD!!

I guarantee you the U of A Wildcats are pissed to lose a few of their best players with the season being postponed until next year. Wildcats loss is the Longhorns Gain!

Both Ehlinger and Schooler look great. In a fair world both of these guys will be playing on Sundays. I know Ehlinger is a sure thing but worried that Schooler won't get a fair look. Hope he has a monster year where they can't ignore him!

Todd McGay said the exact same thing before kickoff. Didn't realize you two are on the same wavelength :pancarta:

Jake Smith is another WR who is dinged up. It might work out to our advantage as Smith should be a cant miss prospect as a sophmore where as Id rather Schooler establish himself early in the year. 400+ yards and 5 TD’s in a half means the starters are out, or we could see record passing tonight

I've been switching back and forth between the Dallas-Vegas hockey game and Clemson. Unfortunately about 80% of the time I've switched to football there's been commercials airing, but Clemson for sure has some very talented players to root for on both offense and defense. I'm gonna make more of an effort to watch their games this year.

I wish Herman would put in Hudson Card to get some reps instead of a mediocre black quarterback.

Kansas down 21-0 in the 2nd quarter. I dont even feel a little bit nervous about making fun of them early as they completely suck.

Wow what an embarrassing showing for my team Texas Tech. If we play like that all year it’s gonna be a long season. Not one player stood out today. Absolutely terrible.

Ugly wins are alot better than ugly losses. So many good teams looked bad today. It happens with this stupid covid stuff. Every state is different in what they allowed for practices, etc. Don't read too much into it? Alan Bowman threw for 430 yards and two touchdowns!

Can't completely ignore the undertow. The ACC will cancel their season if less than eight teams suit up on Saturdays. Virginia -Virginia Tech was just postponed and I believe Miami is dealing with an issue. About nine games have been either cancelled or postponed so far this season including TCU-SMU of course.

The SEC has not even started but don't count the Big Ten or perhaps the Pac 12 out just yet. They took a lot of heat but I guess the best thing you can say about them is they haven't had to cancel games yet. The Big Ten is meeting today to probably vote on when to start the season. Both conferences are putting into place faster testing protocols. Hell they could start up as soon as two to three weeks. I can handle a small delay as long as things go smoothly. Personally I would prefer a one month delay if it means no games are getting cancelled. If they start sometime in early October then I can't complain. The "honky" conference might redeem themselves yet.

BYU just had to postpone their CBS game against Army this coming Saturday. A very small number of players have COVID. Cripes BYU? Probably the Poly players.

Injury updates. ND OLB Jack Lamb isn't 100% recovered from his hip injury from last year but I suspect will get going fairly soon. Texas speedster WR Jake Smith is dealing with a hamstring injury. They think he might be ready for Texas Tech tilt on the 26th. And of as mentioned above ND WR transfer Bennett Skowronek hurt his hamstring. That Notre Dame game was unwatchable.

Wake freshman, also mentioned above, WR Taylor Morin had a nice 9-93-1 stat line.

For me a very tepid Saturday. Hard to get used to no or sparse crowds at college events. Crowds are so integral for college games. They aren't even allowing mascots. What?

Kansas State ( I have no idea what they were doing) DE Wyatt Hubert looks to me like a first round talent. Shoots off the line like he is being shot out of a cannon.

Notre Dame freshman TE Michael Mayer is being called "Baby Gronk." He looks it.

One final thing. Did anyone catch the talk about Clemson WR Brannon Spector and his number 13? Well we all know Hunter Renfrow wore it but so did Adam Humphries and Tyler Grisham. Kind of funny. He looked good the couple of times he touched the ball. Almost scored on a pitch run play.

That coastal defense had 2 linebackers and 2 safeties, all over the field, not bad!
