Since 2005, SMU has started 8, 8, 11, 10, 10, 10, 10, 9, 9, 9, 10, 5, 8, and 7 white players. In 2019 they look to jump up to 9.

WR Tyler Page was the third leading WR last year but only had 12 catches. Not sure if he will be a starter in 2019 but his role will definitely expand, he had the longest touchdown for a white player last year in the FBS with a 92 yard touchdown catch.

Lots of good depth on this team and a ton of white walk ons who could eventually see the field. RB TJ McDaniel is a future starter and S/LB Trevor Denbow should make a lot of plays this year in a hybrid role. Former QB Collin Rock is likely to be the top backup at safety.

I am slightly worried about the lack of OL depth behind the 4 white starters.

Offense
QB Shane Buechele

C Hayden Howerton
RG Nick Dennis

Decent numbers for SMU, who in my opinion, has some of the best uniforms in College Football!

Nice to see Shane Buechele staying in-state. Liked him at Texas.

Looking forward to seeing McDaniel down the road and Denbow flying around on Defense.

Shane Buechele has been fantastic this year and the primary reason for SMU's hot start. He's currently completing 64.6% of his passes for 18 TDs 6 INTs. It is great to see him thrive after leaving Texas as well as seeing Ehligner have a very strong season for the Longhorns.
