White starters since 2005 are 8,10,9,8,12,10,8,10,9,10,8,8,8,6. This season it will be 8.

I do not like their Head Coach James Franklin. At times I think I am too rough on him but I cannot get past his egregiously caste recruiting practices. This caste whore does not recruit white WRs or white RBs. And he has veered away from white defenders too. For the most part he sticks to a tight caste script. In state prep star ( class of 2017) Zane Dudek should have been a slam dunk but Frankiln ignored the talented RB like the plague.

That said certain white players have fallen through the cracks like TE Mike Gesicki, QB Trace McSorley and S Troy Apke.

I still feel it will only be a matter of time before this program descends into an SEC type racial makeup for good. The recruiting fingerprints point directly in that direction. Hopefully at some point Franklin is fired before his "design" reaches full bloom. Franklin recruits black stars and nurtures them through the system. There is no such design for white players. Usually as in the case of Apke they have to wait until their senior season, if they are fortunate enough, to make any noise.

The white depth on defense seems skimpier than usual. Again Franklin's by the book caste recruiting is finally taking shape as most of his white recruits are offensive linemen.

The Tim Tebow like QB Tommy Stevens abruptly transferred as this team gets less attractive each passing year. Back up QB is Will Levis.

Still there are two very intriguing bench players who will have to climb the roster ladder.

That will be the case for WR Dan Chisena. Making his debut this sprinter for the track team is now a senior which is a shame. With his size (6'3" 205) and speed (4.3) he looks like an NFL candidate but with only one year to prove himself off the bench no less the odds are stacked against him. Hopefully he makes an imprint in his one and only season. A terrific and fast athlete. # 88.

Then there is a Troy Apke clone in S Drew Hartlaub. A former walk on sophomore he is buried a bit on the depth chart but may see action on special teams. Look for his #37 number. He runs the 40 in the 4.2 range. Who knows? If he follows the path of Apke and starts getting regular playing time his junior and senior season perhaps he too could get drafted based on his phenomenal speed alone. But that is sheer conjecture and first things first. He needs to play on a regular basis.

    Offense:

    QB-Ryan Clifford
    TE-Pat Freiermuth(26-368)
    OG-Mike Miranda
    OC-Mical Menet
    OG-Steven Gonzalez
    OT-Will Fries

    Defense:

    DT- Robert Windsor
    LB-Jan Johnson

It's pure speculation at this point but I wouldn't mind seeing Franklin leave the Big Ten for Free Shoes University.

247Sports' Brendan Sonnone reports that there is "mutual interest" between Penn State HC James Franklin and Florida State regarding FSU's open head-coaching position.
Sonnone passes along that Franklin "has emerged as someone who is high on the list for FSU powerbrokers" and relays that there have been "several meetings" between coach and program, though he stops short of reporting that Franklin is the clear-cut, numero uno candidate here. Even if Florida State does not ultimately pounce -- we seem to be more in the "smoke" phase of things, rather than the "fire" phase of things -- Franklin has also been a name heavily-rumored to be in play for USC, should the Trojans move on from HC Clay Helton. Stay tuned.

As you probably know I don't care for Franklin. He is a sneaky caste hound and never recruits white skill players albeit WR Liam Clifford has just signed but that is a first. Before that signing he has never recruited white wide receivers or running backs and his defensive recruiting follows the caste playbook. I would love to see him jettison his ass out of Happy Valley and land at a school that is more akin to his caste like ways. Please leave.
