Ole Miss have started just 3, 4, 3, 4, 3, 4, 4, 3, 3, 2, 4, 3 and 4 Whites since 2006. Ole Miss actually jumps up to 6 which is a new record since we have been tracking the teams. They are projected to start a snow plow OL.

QB Matt Corral was a big time recruit and ended up transfering from UF.

Players to look out for include QB John Rhys Plumlee, LB Luke Knox, DB Ty Rocconi

Offense
QB Matt Corral
LT Alex Givens
LG Royce Newman
C Eli Johnson
RG Ben Brown
RT Bryce Mathews

Defense
None

A pleasant surprise but a boring way to start 6 of our guys. I guess 5 offensive lineman and blocking fullback would be worse. I’m with Shadowlight in that I need something more like a wr, receiving TE or a standout defender. The best this program can muster is a prototypical early 90s NFL lineup.

Thanks Leonardfan.

Yes this is not inspiring. As Freethinker says this is the standard 1990's lineup.

Of interest is QB/Swiss army knife freshman John Rhys Plumlee. Well what do you know. Unlike Michigan State recruit WR Jase Bowen who like so many other white players chased his baseball dream, Plumlee has decided to play both football and baseball at Ole Miss. Finally a dual sport white athlete with a grip on reality. If he stars on the baseball field then he can proceed from there. But he wisely doesn't assume he will by turning pro thus leaving all his options open. At least with football he will most likely star.

Plumlee is a 4.4 speedster athletic QB who follows in the Taysom Hill mold. The sooner he sees the field the better.

A Snow Plow in The Deep South is nice and at least they have a White QB. But agreed gents, definitely more to be desired.

Yes indeed Shadowlight! In True Freshman QB John Rhys Plumlee 1st Career Start vs. Alabama's Vaunted Defense & Rushed for 109 yards! 2nd Start vs. Vanderbilt last week had 165 yards rushing. (137 yard per game AVG!) Moves & cuts like a Tailback ... Still has some work to do on his passing ; but this dude Plumlee is faster than Johnny "Football" Manziel . Came in the Cal game 4th Quarter passing 7 for 8 & a nice 47 yard run right outta the gate! Nearly made the comeback after starting QB Matt Corrall went out w injury

Looks like Redshirt Freshman LB Luke Knox is Starting at LB?? Every time i see them on Defense ...i see #16 flying around the field. Younger brpother of Current NFL TE Dawson Knox / Bills (former Walk-on)

Too bad 6'- 6" 231lb Jonathan Hess (Soph.) SWITCHED to TE; had hoped he'd stay at Outside Linebacker.

Without question the sudden emergence of Plumlee is one of the best stories so far in this fairly dismal college football season. Thanks for the heads up with athletic LB Luke Knox too.

I have not seen Plumlee play yet apart from a highlight or two so looking forward to watching him Saturday at 7:00 EST on ESPN2.

Man I’d love to see a 6’6” 231 pound linebacker in the SEC. If I remember right, Hess was a safety coming out of high school. With his athleticism he should be able to make some noise at TE if he is given a chance (succeeding high draft picks Evan Engram and Dawson Knox from the last few years). I have no clue who their current TE is.

HC Matt Luke fired. Will be interesting to see what happens with Plumlee now.
