The Old Dominion Monarchs made the leap to the FBS in 2013 and started 6 with no write up done in 2014. From 2015 to 2018 they started 5,3, 4 and 5 white athletes. They look to start 4 in 2019.

They are a black quarterback led team now that QB Blake LaRussa left the program. They have 3 star freshman Hayden Woff - maybe he will get a chance down the road. They do have some interesting players on the roster including RB Matt Geiger and CB Will Brocchini who should both see playing time.

Players to look out for included RB Matt Geiger - third on the team in rushing in 2018, WR Jake Herslow, DL Derek Wilder, DL Carson Ramos, DL Blake Hehl, **white CB alert** CB Will Brocchini.

Old Dominion HC Bobby Wilder announced his resignation Monday morning.
The move isn't a surprising one, as the Monarchs completed a 1-11 season with a 38-22 home loss to Charlotte on Saturday. While Wilder helped launch the ODU football program in 2008 and even engineered an upset of Virginia Tech last season, things took a downward turn since the Monarchs' 10-3 2016 season. Since the appearance in that season's Bahamas Bowl, ODU has gone 10-26. The combination of decreased win totals and dwindling attendance at home games was too much for AD Dr. Wood Selig to ignore. It's also worth noting that Wilder's buyout decreased from $900,000 to $600,000 as a result of his announcing the resignation on Monday according to USA TODAY writer Steve Berkowitz.

Gotta love seeing a pure caste coach leaving. Hopefully the next coach gives more playing time Geiger and Brocchini. Starting Hayden Wolff next year would be another step in the right direction.
