Since 2006, NC State has started 5, 7, 7, 8, 9, 11, 5, 4, 4, 3, 4, 3 and 4 whites. They look to start 4 in 2019.

Players to watch out for include JUCO/FSU Transfer QB Bailey Hockman (I guess Doeren duped him into committing just to keep him on the bench behind a black quarterback), LB Drake Thomas, LB Brock Miller, LB Payton Wilson

NC State HC Dave Doeren announced on Monday that redshirt sophomore QB Bailey Hockman will start Thursday's game vs. Syracuse.
Hockman (6'2/206) replaced starter Matthew McKay during the Wolfpack's most recent game, a Sept. 28 loss at Florida State, and threw for 208 yards and a touchdown. The redshirt sophomore will now get his chance to lead the NC State offense in a game that's critical for both teams with regards to the pecking order in the ACC Atlantic Division. Doeren also said that redshirt freshman Devin Leary will also have an opportunity to play against the Orange.
