Since 2005, Iowa State has started 14, 12, 8, 9, 6, 11, 10, 11, 10, 9, 5, 6, 11, and 9 whites. They stay at 9 again this year with Landen Akers moving to backup again.

We have the rare snow plow OL with an entire snowplow backup as well!

QB Brock Purdy is a stud on offense and LB Mike Rose is a stud on defense... both true sophomores!

Plenty of depth at all positions except WR, RB and DB (typical). But let’s hope Landen Akers can make his way back to the starting lineup during the season, he has blazing speed.

QB Brock Purdy
TE (Y) Chase Allen or Charlie Kolar
TE (F) Dylan Soehner
LT Julian Good-Jones
LG Collin Olson
C Colin Newell
RG Josh Knipfel
RT Bryce Meeker

MLB Mike Rose

Players to watch
WR Landen Akers, TE Ben Latusek, OL Joey Ramos, OL Trevor Downing, OL Derek Schweiger, OL Robert Hudson, OL Sean Foster, DE Zach Petersen, DT Tucker Robertson, LB Jake Hummel, LB Chandler Pulvermacher

They also have backup DE Matt Leo from Australia, not sure if he is white or poly.

Definitely one of my favorites out of The Big12. If a couple of those backup defenders and Akers can crack the lineup, Iowa State should be one of CFs favorites.

Thanks Red raider. I like their head coach. Last season I was hoping for a little more of a white presence but as Bucky says up above if some of the back ups including speed demon WR Akers crack the lineup this team will become more interesting to us here at CF.
