Since 2005, the Yellow Jackets have had 6, 6, 7, 5, 6, 3, 7, 6, 4, 6, 5, 4, 7 , increased up to 9 white starters last season.
This year = 8

The Ramblin' Wreck from Georgia Tech finally are getting away from the Triple Option to a "NFL style, spread based attack" with new Coach. Will now have TE's on the roster.

Speedster #31 Nathan Cottrell (RS Sr.) 5' -11" 193 had 46 carries last season for 362 yards (7.9avg.!)/ 9 carries for 90 yards & TD vs. UNC ; RB now project "starting "Slot" position as it's listed. (but still listed as RB on current Roster). He's a legit home -run threat (4.35 in HS ; Legit 4.4's) breaking some long runs w his limited opportunities (69 yard run vs. VaTech as Soph. in '17) .
He could be the Swiss-Army-Knife of the offense!

White QB's seem to be few & far between..that could be changing in the future?

The Roster has several "Skill players" ...however they look to be "Walk-on's".

What a curious thing moving away from the their triple option. New coach new system. Makes you think the transition will be a bit bumpy.

I kind of liked them last year with Cottrell of course but also WR/PR Brad Stewart. Albeit they threw the ball to Stewart like once a month.

But most Georgia Tech teams I recall have been heavily caste and looking at their current recruiting practices I sense they will return to that caste heavy look.

Cottrell, who I have followed since he ran that 4.35 40 at a Nike camp, will likely not get drafted but if he has any chance I agree that he would be seen as a Swiss army knife. He was perfect for the triple option so I wonder how they will fit him in now. If he can hone his return/special teams skills I could envision him as a special teams player at the NFL level. I highly doubt anyone would draft him as a traditional RB though.

Cottrell is listed at 3rd string as a “flex” whatever the hell that is. White players continue getting screwed over, but I’d be shocked if they kept him on the bench too much. This also isn’t your traditional depth chart so let’s see how it shakes out for Nate.

**Correction**
Apparently it is numerical order so Cottrell could actually be the #1 guy. What is this “participation chart” ********? These coaches are too soft these days, make a damn depth chart and let the guys know where they stand.
