    Since 2006, Akron has started 10, 9, 9, 8, 7, 9, 8, 8, 8, 7, 6, 7 and 6 white players. In 2019 they are projected to start 5 white players.

Gone is caste whore Terry Bowden. Former NFL QB Tom Arth is now the coach for the Zips. Arth came over from University of Tennessee at Chattanooga where he was the head coach for the past two seasons. Prior to coaching at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga he coached at John Carroll. It sounds like Arth runs a pro style offense so that could very well spell trouble for Bowden's handpicked scattershot quotaback Kato Nelson. Perhaps Arth will right the ship at Akron - he is a native Ohioan and at D-3 John Carroll his record was 40-8. One would have to assume many of the John Carroll players were white athletes from Ohio that were ignored by FBS/FCS programs.

It will be interesting to see how the depth chart pans out prior to the season. We could see an uptick in white players. The QB battle will be interesting and seeing if Jeremiah Knight is utilized as a started on offense could make this team intriguing to some extent. I am not making excuses for Arth but he was handed a shoddy roster due to the 7 year tenure of Bowden and his reluctance to recruit in state and go to Florida to import affletes.

Players to look out for include QB Alex Ramart, WR/PR/KR Jeremiah Knight, WR Dustin Burkhart, TE Brandon Junk, DE Dylan Meeks, DT Logan Hawkins, LB Brandon Bischof

    TE - Maverick Wolfley
    LG - Hunter Corne
    C - Bryce Petersen

    LB - Bubba Arslanian
    LB - John Lako

Again shoddy numbers for a MAC program. It will be interesting to see how Arth cleans up Caste Whore Bowden's mess.
