For the first time in many years I’m watching and enjoying nba. I found out about Luka from reading this forum. The guys who call the Mavericks games are almost embarrassing in their adulation of the young man. But I really like hearing it!

After the Mavs I really like watching the Miami Heat alot like I've said before.

Tyler Herro is only 19 years of age. He had 20 pts tonight and if he was starting I have no doubt he will become an nba allstar. He is averaging
14 pts a game off the bench. The kid has swagger and guys like him and Doncic are slowly changing the face of the league. Next year we will see
Mac McClung and probably Nico Mannion playing in the nba. At the longest maybe in 2 years. These young white american kids are a breath of fresh
air as it has renewed my faith in the league some what. Yes we still have a long ways to go but it hasn't been this good in around 2 decades.

For people that want to watch some teams with white talent here is a short list:

    Dallas Mavericks
    Miami Heat
    Phoenix Suns
    Indiana Pacers
    Milwaukee Bucks
    Utah Jazz
    Sacramento Kings
    Brooklyn Nets
    Memphis Grizzlies
    Washington Wizards

That's a good start. Let's hope the supply of college & international kids continues!

Miami has 5 white guys out of the the 10 to see minutes but my personal favorite to watch is the 19 year old Tyler Herro who went pro after only 1 year of college. He is amazing and only going to get better!

Really good video, its unfortunate that we have to have blacks (Is Chris Brousard a Mulatto?) speak on are behalf, but hey, when you have an all black environment with a microphone, they are going to keep it real. DWFs certainly dont want to broach this topic! What do you guys think is the biggest reason for the talent discrepancy between North American and European basketball players?

It's a good topic but I just posted above about some white young american basketball players changing that stereotype.

I will start with 3 guys that will all be future nba all stars all born and raised in the U.S.

    1 Tyler Herro
    2 Nicco Mannion
    3 Mac McClung

Tyler Herro is already in the nba after 1 year of college and he is an american born star.

Mannion and McClung will be in the NBA next fall. The US White kids are making some noise!

Besides caste system where whites aren't developed and recruited like blacks are which is not a problem in Europe, there's also the factor that there's a larger player base in blacks that devote themselves exclusively to basketball. They go to college reading at a 5th grade level, but they put in 10 hours a day playing basketball from childhood because they think sport is their ticket out of the ghetto. One of the reasons Tyler Herro is so skilled and will be able to easily increase skill is because he was similarly devoted to basketball, Nico Manion is the same way. Larry Bird, Chris Mullins, Pistol Pete were the same. It's like South Koreans and video games, the Korean players spend 12 hours every single day doing the same tactic and play style, American and European players spend a lot less time and a lot of that is playing different strategies and playing styles just having fun.

Another factor is white parents pulling their kids from basketball, especially AAU circuit and having them focus on other sports that are less black like baseball.

I've said it many times about the Miami Heat. They are so much fun to watch. They had 4 of their 5 white players have very good games tonight in yet another easy win!

    Goran Dragic 20 pts, 4 assists & 5 rebounds
Tyler Herro 19 pts, 5 rebounds
    Kelly Olynyk 15 pts, 2 rebounds & 1 assist
    Duncan Robinson 17 pts, 2 rebounds & 1 assist.

As far as my Mavs go Luka Doncic is on track for another triple double. Will update this later!

Luka Doncic finished 1 rebound short of another triple double. That is the second time this year he missed it by just one stinking rebound. Oh well. Can't complain. Another big win on the road.

Doncic had 42 pts, 11 assists & 9 rebounds! They play the Lakers on Sunday. A rematch with the two top NBA MVP Candidates in the league. Should be some fireworks!

Bojan Bogdanovic is quietly having a career year for the Utah Jazz. They don't talk about him much. They only want to give the other star all of the credit but Bogdonavich has been sensational. Bojan Bogdanovic is now averaging over 22 pts a game, 4 rebounds & 2 assists per night! :)

Luka Doncic joins Oscar Robertson & Russell Westbrook as the only nba players in history ever to average 30-10-10 in a month! :)

19 year old Tyler Herro is now averaging 15 pts a game off the bench for the Miami Heat. To put that into perspective, the Heat have an all star in Jimmy Butler who is only
averaging 18 pts per game. So Jimmy Butler starts yet only gets 3 more points a night. This is an all star and a veteran. Nothing against Butler as he is a good player. I just wanted
to point this out as Tyler Herro is going to be a future all star. It's just a matter of time. He is younger than Luka. Can't drink for 2 more years. Wow is he having a great
    rookie season!

Luka Doncic is amazing!! What a night. Mavs are my team to root for. This kid can hit from anywhere and isn't a ball-hog, proven by his great passing and assists! Great, great talent to be so young and downright fearless, which is needed in the NBA. Thanks White Lightning for the highlight posting.

By far my favorite team too and he is the one player that I also have to watch night after night. Game after game he is incredible.

Glad you enjoy my posts as not many people comment. I'm excited about the nba more than usual for the first time in years.

Thanks for the compliment my brother in christ! :)

I have not been following the League in 9 years. I am ready to at least follow these guys burning up the nets! I live in an area of Texas where I can pick up Mavs games on radio (I don't have cable) and I can also watch highlights on my Roku. Looking forward to them making a good run into the playoffs. The West is there for the taking it seems like. It's early. God bless you my brother!

...another thing, the Mavs are leading the West in PPG and second in the league overall.

I enjoy them as well WL. Just don't get to post as consistently as I used to. I'm at a point in my life where I'm trying to make hay while I still can. I look up the NBA thread almost everyday.
I remember a few years ago when I was posting more and made the comment that the NBA had more white players in the statistics than the NFL, other than the QB's.

2013-2014 NBA season these players were making major impact in the NBA:
    David Lee
    Dirk Nowitzki
    Kevin Love
    Gordon Hayward
    Parsons
    Hawes
    M. Gasol
    Dragic
    Kanter
Pekovic was awesome, but couldn't stay healthy
    Rubio
    Valnciunas
    Vucevic
    Gortat, etc.
These guys were in the top tier of the stats, maybe not leading, but making the top 25 with guys like Love, Rubio and Nowitzki at or near the top.
I don't have time right now, but WL maybe make a list of the top players/teams now, so we can follow more quickly for us who can't always run down the NBA every night?
    Thanks

Very true. AAU track and field is the same way. I have stated endlessly that I put my son in AAU track and he competed against 99% blacks in the 100 and 200 meters. He became very proficient and dominated at the state level and went to the nationals and finished in the top 6 in the national Junior Olympics one year.
More white parents need to get their children involved if it's going to change!

I agree. You have to be so proud of your sons accomplishments on and off the track/field. To everyone on here we all need to live with a grattitude attitude! We are too blessed to be stressed.

76ers guard 22 year old Forkan Korkmaz is sort of taking on the role of departed JJ Redick this season and he has been starting of late. Hit a game winner a while back. Korkmaz won't stuff the stat sheets but he has some quickness and has a nice three point stroke. Averaging 9.2 points a game.

Interesting stat sheet from the red hot Bucks yesterday. Donte D continues to start and he shot 4-6 and ended up with a 10 point 6 rebound game. As you know Donte has a 40 inch vertical and it is noticeable out on the court.

Veteran bench player Ilyasova chipped in 11 points going 3-3.

Most eye opening stat is from the leaping jumping bean Pat Connaughton. In only 19 minutes off the bench he went 3-4 for six points plus 10 boards ( for a 6'5" guard) and 6 dimes. Pretty effective play off the bench if you ask me. PC and Donte give the Bucks two of the best white leapers in the NBA. PC might have the best vertical in the entire NBA? Top five for sure.

    Bucks are 17-3 this season.

Thanks guys. I really appreciate it, but it's not really about my son now. His time has come and gone. Mostly to a couple of knee injuries. What I can't emphasize enough is, if more white athletes are going to make it to skill positions at the D-1 or Pro level, they're going to have to get involved early and often. I don't necessarily like it, but that's just the way it is. I believe they're going to have to compete against other top athletes in the speed category. Like track. Going through those days with my son, I saw very little if any other white boys/young men competing in track and or combines and football prospect camps. That's why I keep saying what I say. I believe we use excuses sometimes, not always. There are defintitely some obstacles for white athletes, but they have to want it! I usually interject my son, not to bragg, but as an example of a young man who worked hard and participated
along with black athletes to accomplish what he did. I've been there and experienced it, personally. He wasn't afraid, and was very competitive. That's what young white men need more of. I don't mean competitveness in video games either!
Sorry, not really for this thread. I just like to respond to what others post concerning young athletes.

Doncic on his way to destroying the Lakers once again falls just one rebound short of a triple double. He doesn't even seem to care, nor does his coach when taking him out early.

Great win for the Mavs. This season is all about the wins and playoffs. Triple-doubles aren’t too important.
