The Mark Whipple mentioned in the article was a coach for the Cleveland Browns in 2012 when they drafted a slight, 172 pound speedster named Travis Benjamin. They drafted him partly on the recommendation of Whipple. Benjamin is still in the league and had one good season and a number of fair seasons.

Perhaps someone this year will consult with Whipple and get a favorable recommendation about Isabella from him.

Every year the pundits speculate that the Patriots will draft a White receiver. And they never do it.

There's no need for the Patriots to do so since they have always been able to get them off the scrap heap or as cheap free agents. Edelman was an exception but he was drafted late, as was Berrios last year. Isabella has the straight-line speed to go with his quickness so if they want him they'll have to draft him, hopefully he doesn't last past the third round.

Thompson, Renfrow and Sills all performed well too. Not as good as Isabella who was the best WR in college football last season but all worthy of 4th/5th round selections.
