Since 2006, Texas has started 7, 6, 8, 9, 8, 5, 6, 7, 6, 6, 6, and 6. In 2018 they will start 6 again. Not too much to see here. Ehlinger won the starting QB job so Texas has a solid backup in Shane Buechele. Theres a senior WR and RB but I don't expect them to see any real action. Not much on the defensive side of ball, hopefully some of the young defensive ends can crack the rotation.

QB Sam Ehlinger
TE Andrew Beck or Cade Brewer
OL Zach Shackelford
OL Elijah Rodriguez
OL Derek Kerstetter

DE Breckyn Hager

Key Backups: QB Shane Buechele, DE Andrew Fitzgerald, DE Rob Cummins

Thanks Raider.

Like Oklahoma, Texas has left a bad taste in my mouth for a long time running now. They are not the worst caste team out there but they flirt with the worst offenders.

That said I thought Ehlinger showed a Baker Mayfield like excitement when he played. He made mistakes but also made some wow plays too. Perhaps a better runner than Baker look for him to surprise people this season.

DE Hager is a top tier athlete. Any team that sports a top flight white edge player softens me up a bit.

Both Ehlinger and Hager might explode this season.

But overall still a tough go once again in Longhorns land.
