Yeah, Hortelano is just better than Little (for 100/200/400 combined), and Hortelano has an incredible upside. I see him obliterating his current 200 PB.

Hortelano 10.06+20.12+44.69=74.87

Little 10.13+20.10+44.77=75.00

Bolt 9.58+19.19+45.28=74.05

M Johnson 10.09+19.32+43.18=72.59

And speaking of 200 PBs, with Tortu's top speed, I see a new 200 PB for him first time he tries.

I agree with you about both of these young sprinters. What we need is an avalanche of guys similar
to these two in the future. I will say this. The last decade has been historic worldwide when it comes
to White sprinting and now even Asian sprinting. It's such a breath of fresh air.

Tortu is going to inspire so many kids around the globe the same way Lemaitre and Guliyev have! I could
not be happier right now. I wish football scouts would give up the age old stereotypes. That is one of the
biggest reasons I love track. The clock doesn't lie.

On a side note. I felt bad for Jan Volko today. he was stuck in lane 1 were you rarely see a fast time
or p.b. come from. I know we saw Xie do it a few day ago but that is very uncommon. He seems to be stuck in the 10.20 range for some reason. Hope he can get it worked out a fix a few mechanical things. I would love to see him go sub 10.10 this summer or approach 10 seconds. I don't think he is anywhere near having sub 10 potential yet. I do say yet because he is only 22 so he might need a little more time. There are very few Tortu types out there. Good luck to Volko the rest of the summer.

I'm actually optimistic of another good season for Volko. His times lately have been similar all June after a late start but the wind assistance has got lower each race.
His 10.15 PB was set at the peak of the season, mid August last year, so I think another could be on the cards in 6 to 8 weeks

Hortelano's 10.06, 20.12 and 44.69 has to put him pretty high up on the list for 100, 200, 400 combined times. Any of you track guys know? I'll be he is ahead of Kevin Little now.

I wish this guy had have stayed back in Australia where he was born lol.
He would already be our number 3 /100 sprinter, number 2/200 sprinter and number 2/400 man of all time. Ouch!

1 white woman Hannah Green in the 800m finals and she finished 7th of 8 in 2.00.09. With a population of over 350million are there not any other white gals who can compete in the 800m on a national level? Gotta mention Shelby Houlihan wins both the 1500 and 5000m well done. This gal has an amazing physique and looks more like a 100m sprinter than a distance runner!

But some good news today from the US Championships . . . Devon Allen, David Kendziera, and Trey Cunningham are all running in the finals of the 110m Hurdles.
Clayton Murphy and Eric Sowinski took 1st and 3rd in the Men's 800m.
Jenna Prandini fastest in the heats and semis of the women's 200m. Let's hope she has something left for the Finals.
Georganne Moline 2nd in the women's 400m Hurdles.

I think Prandinni needs to learn when to let off the gas and coast when not in the finals. It's harder to do in the U.S.
with very fast times but she will learn to conserve her energy to go all out in the finals. Very proud of her regardless and
this is after running rounds of the 100 meters and finishing 3rd place in the finals.

I think the weather delay did not help the times either as the 110mh times were quite slow as well. Moline did not run to her form in the final of the 400mh she said in an interview that she has sprained one of her ankles and it was not 100%, the PED negro won in a quick time.

Emile Erasmus 10.11 1st
Copenhagen Athletics Games

Yes this makes me so happy. I was wondering if he had given up athletics. The guy is so talented. Hopefully
his dad will start posting again occasionally like last years. We are big fans of Eiile Erasmus. We really would
love to see him join the sub 10 club someday soon. Great win and a fantastic time!

Here is a video of Patrick Domogala of Germany who set a p.b. recently of 10.24 and he has time
on his side. He is now qualified with the norm for the European Champs 100 meters. Patrick has had
injuries the last 2 years but now if finally healthy and ready to be one of the sprinters representing Germany on the home soil. Good luck to him the rest of the summer.

Even better is that he comfortably beat better known compatriot Simon Magabwe and that his 10.11 (-1.0) is much better than his PB 10.08 (+2.0). He has been stung into action this season after not quite fulfilling his goals last seasom it seems.
That run indicates a sub 10 is clearly possible in perfect sprinting conditions

I'm super excited for the Paris Diamond League tomorrow.

Shubenkov is in the 110 hurdles, Lemaitre and Bruno Hortelano in 200 meters, Lemaitre and Taftian in the 100 B Race. In the
100 Meters A Race we have Bingtian Su of China. We also have Jenna Prandinni in the womens 200 meters A Race. There are probably others I'm missing.

I expect a s.b. from Lemaitre over 100 and 200 meters tomorrow. I also think that Bruno Hortelano will have a p.b. in the 200. Hoping for Su to continue his winning ways and I would love to see Prandinni continue to excel in the deuce. Should be great to watch. Can't wait.

Stéfanos Tsákonas of Greece, who is a 200m specialist, ran 10.18 in the B race at the same meet where Volko ran 10.13.

On paper based on her form to date Prandini should win the 200m but it also depends on what kind of "yams" the others are eating. I like Hortelanos chances and possible PB. The jury is out on Lemaitre..
