    Since 2005, the Spartans have had 7, 5, 7, 10, 10, 10, 12, 8, 9, 8, 8, 10 and 11 white starters. They look to remain at 11 white starters this season.

The overall makeup of the team is caste friendly with no white skill position players and on defense S Matt Morrissey has been demoted to second team.

LB Joe Bachie is one of the best in the Big Ten. QB Brian Lewerke is an ascending player.

Players to look out for are QB Rocky Lombardi, DE Drew Beesly, DE Matt Seybert, DE Jack Camper, DT Jacob Slade, LB Byron Bullough, LB Sam Reschke, LB Grayson Miller, S Matt Morrissey

    Offense
    QB - Brian Lewerke
    FB - Collin Lucas
    TE - Matt Sokol
LT - Cole Chewins or Luke Campbell
    LG - David Beedle
    RG - Kevin Jarvis
RT - Luke Campbell also listed as an OR

    Defense
    DE - Kenny Willekes
    DT - Mike Panasiuk
    DE - Jacub Panaiuk
    MLB - Joe Bachie

WR/PR Brandon Sowards tore his ACL last year and missed the whole season, he was the starting punt returner in 2016. I doubt he has the job back but I saw him as a backup WR on the depth chart, hopefully he can get some offensive stats in his senior year.

    Thanks Leofan.

A rugged team not afraid to play white defenders.

Tough win last night but as figured LB Joe Bachie played the hero.

I like the mobile QB Lewerke. Very exciting player.

Keep an eye on DE Willekes. Had a couple of sacks last night and is a terror off the edge. NFL prospect down the road.

Just wish they had a white WR or two though.

After last night it appears Brandon Sowards is part of the wide receiver rotation, although he only had 2 catches for 12 yards it’s positive to see him not riding the bench after missing a whole year.
