Since 2006 LSU has started 7, 6, 4, 5, 5, 4, 6, 5,4,3, 4 and 5 whites since 2006. In 2018 they are projected to start at most 3.

Coach Orgeron looks to be no better than Les Miles in terms of overall depth or recruiting in general. The only intriguing development leading up to the season is that of the two black quarterbacks - one very highly touted have left the team. That leaves OSU transfer who was the wrong color to play QB for Urban Meyer and gifted sophomore Myles Brennan as the only two scholarship QBs on the roster. Looking at the 2018 and 2019 recruiting classes - this team only looks to get darker and cement it's status as a HBCU.

Don't forget about So. FB Troy Carter who at 6'2 258 pounds is a human wrecking ball at the goal-line! He only caught 6 balls for 61 yards and a TD, but he should see more touches in year 2.

Joe Burrow should be a Difference Maker;(neck-n-neck w Haskins in Spring Game at Ohio State) could be LSU's best QB since Matt Flynn! Myles Brennan is a gunslinger trying to put on more weight learning the ropes from Burrow. But the O-Line looks average at best for the time being.

2-star HS recruit with the final scholarship in his Class TE Foster Moreau will play in the NFL! Had a 60 yard TD catch vs. Ole Miss last season

Yes indeed Deceptive Speed... Fullback/H-Back Tory "Wildman " Carter was a super intense player as a freshman w some devastating blocks! Would like to see him get some carries!

Yes LSU is in unchartered waters demographically. Now on par with Lousville; So.Carolina; & a few others. Recruting services exacerbate this with no end in sight.

Texas Tech transfer Breiden Fehoko (poly) will start on D-Line. To the casual viewer on TV it won't seem completely coal.
