Houston has started 9, 9, 9, 8, 6, 4, 5 and 4 Whites from 2005-2012, there was no 2013 write-up, in 2014 there were 3 white starters, 4 in 2015 and 2 in 2016. In 2017 they remained at 2 white starters. They drop down to ONE projected to start in 2018.
Major Applewhite's 2018 recruiting class has included some white athletes at the WR and DB position. He also recruited a white QB in 2018 and 2019. Overall this is just a sad program in it's current state.
They have a much hyped DT Ed Oliver who is supposedly the best player in college football and will probably go top 5 in the draft. My guess is he is another Clowney who is not going to live up to the hype.
