Caste System in action. It's been well documented here how much better Carney is. Hate that Hartman was lost for the year. It will be a slap in the face if Carney is not allowed to get enough attempts today so he hits 1k yards rushing.
Yep, Carney 4.5, forty time, Colburn 4.7
Carney 40 Vert. /Colburn 28
If Colburn were white, he would be at home just being a regular guy.
Carney got in for few snaps, but the black QB never gave him the ball. Colburn in, he gets a carry.

Collie’s season after transferring back to BYU last kelt didn’t go as he envisioned it, but he ended it with a bang: 6 catches, 124 yards, and 2 tds. will this be the last we see of him?

BYU’s White tailback didn’t get a touch, despite being the lone bright spot in their running game most of the season.

I saw him get dinged up near the end of his last game.....and he’s a senior.

If I were Carney and this close to 1000 yards and my coach doesn't let me get double digit carries in the second half I would be pissed.
At least Bachman has 92 yards receiving for Wake Forest.....Carney 14 yards from 1,000.

WR Dylan Collie in the Idaho Potato Bowl for BYU (brother of Colts WR Austin Collie), finishing strong with a season high 6 rec for 124 yds and 1 TD! I wonder where that production was thr rest of the year, as Collie only had 24 rec for 277 yds and 3 TD's in a disappointing Sr. season.

Starting today with the semifinals Saturday and a heap of games on Monday and New Years we are in the thick part of the bowl season. Apart from New Years and Saturday I will only be able to watch the 9:00 PM EST games the next few nights although I get home earlier than usual New Year's Eve so should catch some more action then. I think Northwestern will be in action early evening New Year's eve.

Hoping to post every day before 1:00PM EST. except on New Years Day. I am sure there will be people here that will be giving "hopefully" good news regarding the games. My schedule is tight the next week and I am not too happy about missing teams like BC today and West Virginia etc..

Tune in to Cal/TCU this evening.....Laird needs (I believe) 68 yards rushing to get his second straight 1000 yard season...If there’s any chance of him being drafted, this will help......

Georgia Tech's Fastest Player ...Tailback Nate Cottrell with the 20 yard TD Run! He needs the ball more!

Yes sir Rocky...looking forward seeing Patrick Laird crack the 1,000 yards rushing tonight!
TCU's Ty Summers & (Hybrid) Garrett Wallow are some quality Linebackers too.

22, looking forward to the game tonight, for sure.....

One small piece I noted earlier this season while Ben Glines was subbing for AJ Dillon (Boston College).....

I said how AJ Dillon is projected as a can’t miss NFL prospect and Ben Glines won’t get a sniff....Here are the final numbers now that their game was cancelled today......
Dillon 227-1108-4.9-10
Glines 68-380-5.6-3

Can’t miss guy had three times the workload
The other guy probably won’t get 50 carries the rest of his career......
......and his numbers were better or on pace across the board.....

Laird 7-29 nearing halftime.....
He fell on his shoulder and gingerly came off of the field after a 7 yard run on first and ten.
(Dude is not going to come off of the field on his own accord, unless he’s dinged)....The film crew shows Laird coming off while the play by play guys keep rambling on about crap, not mentioning Laird.....Hopefully we see him back on the field soon......After halftime, for sure......

Patrick Laird ended up with a bad shoulder injury and couldn't continue. So sad as he could have been only the 3rd Cal RB to go for 1000 yards in a season. He deserved to
get that acheivment but football is a violent game and bad luck stopped it from happening. What a classy guy though and a heck of a talent. He had 50 receptions this year
too for Cal. Hope the NFL drafts this kid. He deserves a chance to play on Sundays!

He went over 1000 last year, unfortunate that his injury prevented it from happening again.

Your right. I had fogot that fact! That helps to put a small smile back on my face. I have followed him closely and hope he can continue to play football at the pro level.

Good grief yesterday was a flat out disaster. First BC DE Zach Allen was walking around in a boot which may affect his draft status. He is currently looked at as a first round prospect. Then the BC-Boise State is canceled due to lightening. I was hoping PR/WR/KR Michael Walker of BC would make a splash. I have him as a sleeper late round special teams draft pick. Teams probably won't have the guts to pick a white return stud.

Then Georgia Tech lays an egg as their coach is retiring. Nate Cottrell made the most out of his three carries gaining 36 yards and a nifty 20 yard plus TD run. For the year Cottrell averaged nearly eight yards a carry this past season. One more year to go for him but with a new coach. Will they stay with the option?

The less said about the Cal TCU game the better. I turned over to "Deliverance" after RB Patrick Laird exited the game. Bad time for a fringe player like Laird to get injured. Hopefully it is nothing but it kept him from showing up big with a national audience. Damn shame.

Fringe means he is seen as a player just off the draft grid. Most fringe players miss getting drafted and end up as priority free agents.

I personally grade Laird as a 6th or 7th round pick but my opinion means squat since I have no say in what happens to players come draft time. I will say his character and smarts is way off the charts and I think that alone carries great value. But most NFL teams prefer rotten character types who "look the part physically" so too often good players with great character like Laird get passed over time and again.

Laird played for a defunct offensive team and by rights should be invited to the combine. But we might be holding out breath on that score.

It frustrates me that black players who barely produced in college but we’re high recruits in high school get combine invites just like that. For example former A&M receiver Speedy Noil was a 5 star recruit coming out of high school and recorded 226 and 325 receiving yards in his last 2 college seasons, almost no production at all. He left college early and was invited to the combine based off of basically nothing, in addition to his off field problems. Then a guy like Laird with high character and production may not even be invited. It makes no sense to me. Best of luck to Laird, Oullette, and the rest of the guys that deserve to be there who are on the brink of not being invited. What has thrown me off is that Ryan Nall actually received some solid praise heading up to the draft and produced well in preseason and has still been on practice squad all year. Ryan Nall could be the white Derrick Henry if given the chance except with better receiving ability.

Temple RB/FB Rob Ritrovato scored a TD today. Duke true freshman WR Jake Bobo caught one too. Bobo will be a guy to watch since he’s so young, finished his first season with totals of 10-167-1.
