Vanderbilt has started 11, 8, 12, 11, 10, 9, 11, 11, 9, 7 and 6 whites since 2006. In 2017 it looks like they make a jump up to 7.

Kyle Shurmur is now one of the established QBs in the SEC going into his junior year. He solidly improved over the second half of last season. If Shurmur can carry the momentum from last season than Vanderbilt might be able to pull off some SEC upsets in 2017. Blacker teams like Florida, Kentucky, South Carolina, Missouri, Mississippi, Tennessee should all be beatable if Shurmur plays well. Vandy obviously is not a caste breaking team (well they are for the SEC) but to see them succeed to a certain extent in the SEC would upset BSPN and all the SEC DWFs.

Players to look out for include QB Deuce Wallace, TE Sam Dobbs, WR Alex Stump (Ohio St. Transfer) he will not be eligible until the 2018 season but is someone to keep track of, LB Jay Hockaday, DL Cameron Tidd, DL Drew Birchmeier, S Austin Quillen, S Andrew Rector
