Since 2005 Syracuse has started 7, 6, 7, 8, 9, 8, 9, 8, 7, 4, 3 and 3 whites. Dino Babers is coming off a disappointing 4-8 season last year in his first season with the Orange. Having previously had success with lots of white players at Bowling Green, Babers seems to have rejected this game plan with the Syracuse. Another deplorable team, resembling an SEC program. On the plus side, there seems to be a good amount of white depth including a young, all white second team OL.

    Offense -
    QB - Eric Dungey
    LT - Cody Conway
    C - Airon Servais

    Defense -
    None

Notable backups include QB Zack Mahoney, TE Kyle Kleinberg, LT Liam O'Sullivan, LG Patrick Davis, C Sam Heckel, RG Colin Byrne, RT Mike Clark, DE Jake Pickard, and LB Ryan Guthrie.

Expecting their coal black defense to be crap once again. I unfortunately caught a few Syracuse games last year, boring team with not much to root for. Looking the same in `17.

It appears that at least Syracuse is now going after some White high school prospects that I'm tracking, which is something I wasn't seeing before Dino took over. So, I'll have to hope he has success in the interim so that (hopefully) the team becomes somewhat watchable in the near future.

2012 - 8 starting whites, 8-5 record (bowl win vs West Virginia)
2013 - 7 starting whites, 7-6 record (bowl win vs Minnesota)
    2014 - 4 starting whites, 3-9 record
    2015 - 3 starting whites, 4-8 record
    2016 - 3 starting whites, 4-8 record

No surprises about that correlation. Maybe if they reflected their state's demographics (66% white) with 14-15 white players they could be a top-25 team...
