Since 2005, Stanford has started 11, 14, 14, 14, 15, 14, 13, 9, 9, 12, 14 and 14 Whites. A perennial CF favorite, Stanford will feature 13 starters this year. Gone is jack of all trades RB Christian McCaffrey to the NFL but there are still a large number of intriguing players on this year's Stanford team. LB Joey Alfieri is the leader of the defense and fits the mold of the elite Stanford linebacker that we've come to enjoy. DT Harrison Phillips is also one of the best prospects at his position in the country. WR Trent Irwin is one to watch as he is poised for a breakout season. Stanford's play this year will heavily dependent upon the health and performance of QBs Keller Chryst, K.J. Costello, and Ryan Burns.

Stanford's opener in Australia against Rice this Saturday should be a fun one to watch. Both teams will feature a ton of white players this year.

Offense -
QB - Keller Chryst
FB - Daniel Marx
WR - Trent Irwin
TE - Dalton Schultz
LT - David Bright
LG - Nate Herbig
C - Jesse Burkett
RG - Nick Wilson
RT - A.T. Hall

Defense -
DE - Eric Cotton
DT - Harrison Phillips
DE - Dylan Jackson
ILB - Joey Alfieri

Notable back ups include QBs KJ Costello and Ryan Burns, FB Reagan Williams, TE Kaden Smith, RT Casey Tucker, LG Austin Maihen, C Brian Chaffin, DE Thomas Schaffer, ILB Sean Barton, and OLB Casey Toohill.

The QB situation is going to dictate alot about Stanford in 2017. Hopefully one of these guys rises up to the challenge.

They were dominant last night - the offensive line was amazing. TE Colby Parkinson has emerged as another weapon for them. The depth at TE they have is insane - Schultz, Smith and Parksinon. I thought Chryst played well, I am glad he came back so quickly from his ACL injury in the bowl game.
