South Carolina has started 6, 6, 6, 5, 4, 3, 3, 3, 6 and 5 whites since 2005. It looks like one year may be missing but the general trend is obvious. South Carolina is a pretty much run of the mill SEC football team. Muschamp is a run of the mill caste clown just like the rest of the SEC coaches.
Jake Bentley is a QB to keep an eye on and should continue to improve as a true sophomore in carving up SEC defenses. He is part of a strong core group of white SEC qbs that will make the conference a little more palatable in 2017. TE Hayden Hurst came out of nowhere last season and had a great year as a TE. He is a former baseball player who returned to school and with a healthy productive 2017 season it would be nice to see him declare for the draft.
Nothing to get real excited about - the two deep on defense does not have any white athletes listed which is to be expected for the SEC. They do have a couple of white walk-on LBs in Sean McGonical and Cole Davis. McGonical was second in the state of South Carolina with 19.5 sacks as a senior and it got him a preferred walk-on with South Carolina - what a joke!
