The expanded first week of college football is over.

Here are some great performances from our signal callers:

Mason Rudolph SR Oklahoma St vs. Tulsa - 20/24 303 YDS 3 TDs 0 Ints and has a streak of 147 attempts without an INT. The second longest in the country behind Duke's Daniel Jones

Baker Mayfield Sr Oklahoma - had a near perfect performance against UTEP. 19/20 329 YDS, 3 TDS, 0 ints. He faces Ohio St. this week and it will be an early season Heisman statement game for him.

Shea Patterson So. Ole Miss - 28/35 429 yds 4 tds 0 ints vs. South Alabama - Patterson is the closest thing to Johnny Manziel college football has seen since Manziel left for the NFL. He may turn out to be even better than Manziel when all is said and done. He is going to be mired in the mess that is New Miss but he has all the makings of a giant killer.

Some high praise for Drew Lock. I admittedly have not followed him closely mostly due to my disdain for the school he plays for. He has gotten better every year so hopefully he builds of his strong start (against an FCS opponent but still very impressive...the defense should be worried about giving up 43 pts to an FCS school so the potential for big numbers due to Missouri getting in shootouts is a good possibility).

A high-ranking Elite 11 official who worked with Missouri junior QB Drew Lock coming out of high school said that he "can make every throw in the book."

"He's not a 'rah-rah' guy but he's a 'dude' and guys love playing with him," the official told NFL.com's Bucky Brooks. Another Elite 11 official went so far to say that Lock might be the second-best quarterback prospect on the CFB landscape behind USC's Sam Darnold. Brooks notes that Lock "repeatedly throws around free rushers at the line, exhibiting outstanding awareness and release quickness." The 6-foot-4, 220-pounder has posted some huge statistical games in his career -- most recently throwing for 521 yards and seven touchdowns against Missouri State this past weekend -- but managed just a 10/10 TD/INT ratio while completing 54.6% of his passes against SEC competition last season. He'll have his first crack at a conference foe this year when Missouri takes on South Carolina on Saturday.
