    Since 2005, New Mexico has started 9, 11, 9, 7, 7, 6, 7, 5, 9, 9, 7 and 5 Whites.

In 2017 New Mexico is once again projected to have 5 white starters.

They are led by uber-caste whore Bob Davie who was a caste mouthpiece for a decade with BSPN after being fired from Notre Dame in 2001. He returned to coaching in 2012. They run the triple option and their QB is pretty inept in the passing game (basically they are a GA Tech clone). Some intrigue does exist on the roster though - Toby Gerhart's younger brother Coltin Gerhart is listed as a QB/RB after transferring from ASU. He is also the only white QB listed on the roster. Hopefully he sees some time this year but I doubt Davie will let a white QB supplant his precious quotaback.

On defense they have three white safeties listed on the two deep depth chart - all as back ups of course. The Rothschiller brothers - Jake and Kyle should see playing time and Jacob Girgle.

    Offensive line: 8/12

    Offense:
    C Blaise Fountain
    RT Charlie Grammel
    TE Dyson Chmura

    Defense:
    NT Johnny Williams
    LB Alex Hart

Appreciate the research Leonardfan... this stuff can get tricky depending on the publication/source... Street & Smith's(TSN) has FS- Jacob Girgle & SS- Jake Rothschiller listed as starters.

Will keep an eye on Gerhart 6'-0 215...projected starter Lamar Jordan (5'-10" 183) has pedestrian passing stats with 17 TD's / 17 INT's in his career

    Yes indeed Celticdb15!

    Trouble on Davie's plantation:

New Mexico commissioned an outside investigation into allegations of player mistreatment by HC Bob Davie and questions about the integrity of the team’s drug-testing program.

"I can confirm there is an investigation underway in Athletics," said UNM spokesperson Cinnamon Blair, who declined to comment further. UNM Fishbowl previously reported that Davie wasn't liked by players and was described in exit interviews as aloof and having "no personal relationship with players." We'll have more on this story as it develops.

Looks like Gerhart will get the start this Saturday at qb due to concussions to the quotablack and the number two qb.
