Never too early for this sort of thing. I watched a lot of BB Saturday including the Duke -UNLV game and Grayson Allen as mentioned here was magnificent. Hopefully that foot injury is behind him because he showed in your face athletic explosion that would give some of his worst critics a pie in the face feeling. Most experts have him going in the first round but not the lottery. I believe he could slip into the lottery. After some research on comparisons a few names popped up more than once. There was Bob Sura the athletic guard out of Florida State but I don't see him as a good comparison. I think Allen has more talent and gumption than Sura. Some have whispered Dwayne Wade and Good Lord you would think a murder has taken place for those who disagree. He is not as tall as Gordon Hayward or quite as point guard oriented as Dragic ( coming off a stellar game last night btw) two mid sized athletic white guys who are a rarity in today's NBA. Allen would be a nice addition to that select group.
The experts seem to have settled on The King's Ben McLemore a lottery pick from Kansas who was touted as an athletic two guard out of Kansas who has never really elevated his pro status beyond decent role player. Hell I think Allen will perform better in the pros than McLemore. He has a better all around game albeit like most guys he needs to work on his D. My take is Allen is in between Wade and McLemore although more weighted towards Wade. I see an NBA starter (might take a year or two) with possible all star potential.

Personally hate the NBA Draft, with only 2 rounds it's gotta be the most pointless out of any of the professional drafts. Hard to make an impact with White Americans with the current setup of One n Dones and Euros dominating the process.

Although I wish they were more white Americans who were drafted. Theirs nothing wrong with a white Euro being drafted, especially over a black guy. I mean we all originally came from Europe, I personally root for Euros the same as White Americans. Euros can defunk the myth of black guys being superior just the same as white guys from America.

Lauri Markkanen ( hailing from Finland), Tyler Lydon ( American), Isaiah Hartenstein (American), Alec Peters (American), Grayson Allen (American of course),
Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk ( Ukraine), Anzejs Pasecniks ( Latvia).
These guys are all projected to go in the first round. Thats a good bit of White Americans, theres more projected in the second round with the majority being Euros.

I have no beef with the Euros! Just would like to see more American Whites getting shots, rather than foreigners with hard to pronounce names and accents. Plus a lot of the Euros are buried over seas for a few years before making their way over here.
