Since 2005, Colorado State has started 15, 16, 17, 15, 14, 13, 12, 10, 8, 8, and 9 white starters.
Although preliminary depth charts looked good, expect a record low of just 7 starters his year

This will be the teams 6th season with an SEC OC at the helm and they have appeared to stabilized at decent, but not great numbers, after a few years of steady decline after the Fairchild and McElwain years.

Although, scoring has been on the rise, this is a team that has been without an offensive identity since Garrett Grayson left for the NFL a few seasons back, relying heavily on a few NFL prospects and a weakened defensive opponents as the MWC has severely blacked up the last half decade or so. They have struggled to find consistent quarterback play bouncing between Nick Stevens and Colin Hill. Stevens is set to get the nod this season.

Much to the objection of locals , the Rams will open up their new $300 million dollar on campus stadium this year, hosting the Beavers. Although fully funded by private donations, the response from the public, was fairly shocking and I think a sign of the times and the post-great recession world we live in with peoples views on football and best use of resources in general different that in the 90s and 2000's. Very few supported the project, which I think would have been a slam dunk during the Lubick years.

Offense
Zach Golditch - LT
Trae Moxley - LG
Jake Bennett - C
Nick Stevens - QB
Dalton Fackrell - TE (in a battle for the position)

Defense
Jakob Buys - DE
Evan Colorito - LB

Backups at key impact positions that could see considerable playing time include: Patrick Elsenbast (LB), Colton Foster (DL), Jake Schlager (S), Toby McBride (DE)

Expect a minor uptick back to double digits with 10 this year.

I'm a bit surprised the number was so high. I'm thinking this will be as good as it gets considering their last couple of dark recruiting classes. Fort Collins is (or at least was...not sure now) a very White city. Nothing like a White former SEC coach introducing dozens of black players every year to a city like that where they then bring in their own "posse" of malcontents to then make the city more "vibrant", which also, "somehow", seems to increase crime rates.

Yeah a large decline in the next year or two wouldn't surprise me. Most of the starters this year are seniors. And their depth chart has the look of the average starting 22 (white QB, 3-4, white O-line, a white reciever or TE, and a defensive player or two. Probably several years of 6-7 starters upcoming

I think speedster Jr. WR Trey Smith is listed as a first line back up on the two deep. Teams that used to be solidly white like Colorado State and Boise State have taken the black/Poly plunge. The irony is that it hasn't really helped their programs. If anything both schools have gotten a bit worse. Trying to mimic the SEC and other "black" conferences reminds me of that song "Fools Rush In."

I remember Colin hill was playing real well last season before he tore his ACL. It will be interesting if he ends up beating out Stevens.

Great write up as well claimjumper. It's always nice to get some more details about a program from someone who follow them more closely due to locality/alumni status or having some vested interest in the program.

A rather unfortunate and caste first official depth chart for CSU came out today. They are down from 10 to a record low of just 7 white starters with a potential of just 6.

Jake Schlager, who has played in 43 games (and started 12), and was the teams 3rd leading tackler last year, lost his starting FS position to a transfer from California.

They also lost a DT and RG position to affletes.

Further, Dalton Fackrell is listed as co-starter for the TE position

While Mike Bobo was a solid QB at UGA, he was inconsistent at OC...yet still (over)hyped. With his anti-White direction at CSU, I wish him nothing but the worst.
