The Buckeyes are replacing a ton of starters, but they are still some experts' begrudging pick to win the Big Ten this year. Urban Meyer is a hotshot coach who hauls in top-ranked recruits every spring. They run their offense out of the spread, and their defense is usually sturdy enough to withstand a couple boneheaded plays by the "dual-threat" quarterback.

Ohio State is rostering a white quarterback for the first time in years, so that's interesting. Joey Bosa's little brother Nick will get some reps this year, which will provide the commentators with another talking point. Pat Elflein is an All-American guard who has converted to center: he should still be just about the first interior lineman drafted next year.

The starters (and backups) are:

QB: (Joe Burrow)
LT: (Evan Lisle)
C: Pat Elflein (Brady Taylor)
RG: Billy Price
TE: (Chase Hounshell)

DE: Sam Hubbard (Nick Bosa)
MLB: (Craig Fada)
WLB: (Joe Burger)

That's a whopping three white starters.

Hounshell is a graduate transfer who is converting from linebacker and has never caught a pass. There's a decent chance that not a single white player will account for a yard from scrimmage all season. The Buckeyes are once again a team to make the CF audience change the channel.

Dark OL Urban Meyer loved those at Florida.
