Notre Dame's Steve Vasturia and Matt Farrell are fun to watch!

It looks like it!! I'm going to have to catch one of the Fighting Irish's games soon! Notre Dame looks like one of the teams this year that will have a majority white rotation, as they start Vasturia, Farrell, and foward Martinas Geben. Off the bench, they feature athletic guard Rex Pflueger and 3 point sniper Matt Ryan.

Davidson is another team to watch this year. I apologize for being late to breaking down some good teams to watch, but this week, I should have time to write-up a few. I got to watch Davidson for a few games this last weekend, and boy, do they look good. They have four white starters. The best one is Peyton Aldridge, whom I've posted about in this thread. He's a do-everything player for Davidson, and with Jack Gibbs (the lone black starter) is the best player on the team. Will Magarity, a forward transfer from Boston College is another of the Wildcat's white starters. He's a very versatile big, who'll only get better over time. Junior guard Rusty Reigel starts as well; he's one of the team's "glue guys" those guys that can do a bit of everything. He can hit the three as well if he gets an open look, but he doesn't shoot much. Freshman Icelandic guard Jon Axel Gudmundsson is the last of the starters. He's a bit raw yet, but he's getting better. He can knock down the three as well. Davidson plays a very uptempo game, and every single player on the court for them can shoot the basketball. When they're on, they are fun to watch.

In regards to Carolina Speed's post about Kennard, he was simply unstoppable against Rhode Island on Sunday. He was so good, that even the ESPN announcers will be saying he'll be hard to keep off the court when the team's three "NBA players" come back. That's about the highest compliment ESPN can give a white guy. I'm glad ESPN is so sure of those three, even though they haven't played one second of college basketball yet. Allen has been dealing with injuries, which have robbed him of a bit of his explosiveness for the time being. I'm hoping he'll be back to full health soon.

BYU looked great again last night. The Cougars feature four white starters, three of which are vital to the team's success. Those are: PG Nick Emery, SG TJ Haws, and forward Eric Mika. Kyle Davis is the fourth white starter, and for BYU to be good, he's going to have to pick up, which is exactly what he did yesterday against St. Louis. Davis had 22 points on 10/13 shooting, and Mika had 20 and 10 as the Cougars destroyed the Billikens 92-62. If you haven't watched BYU yet, I strongly suggest that you do. The Cougars are undefeated, and playing some excellent basketball.

Similarly, if you haven't watched Arizona, I strongly suggest that you do. Lauri Markkanen is an absolute stud. He lead the Wildcats in scoring again last night with 17 points and 10 rebounds. They also have another white starter in Dusan Ristic, which makes them a team to root for.

I'm not sure, as these "violations of team rules" things are very murky. Nichols was suspended for UVA's first three games (counting the two exhibition games), so there must be something there. I think the question that most of us will be asking is: "Would a black player have been dismissed for doing whatever Nichols did?" We all know that black players are given a lot more slack on these "team rules" than white players are. Whatever the case, it's a big shame, as Nichols would have made UVA one of our teams to cheer for this year.
Murky to say the least and unusual. Nichols was not arrested for anything as far as I know and the usually nosy media does not seem to have a clue beyond the fact he was dismissed. Why is it a secret? To make matters worse Nichols was also showing up on draft boards usually early second round (with the potential of moving up since he is athletic) for 2018. I believe it would take a huge set of right circumstances for his basketball career to continue and flourish. We need news like this like a hole in the head.

I was watching that game, and Happ was simply dominant. Even Jay Bilas was admitting that Happ was dominating tongiht. It's rare for Bilas to give a lot of praise to a white player.

In other news, Notre Dame won the Legends Classic tournament over Northwestern today! Steve Vasturia and Matt Farrell each had 18 points, leading the Irish. Vasturia added 8 rebounds, while Farrell had 6 assists, with just 1 TO.

Virginia freshman Kyle Guy scored 20 points in just 13 minutes (!) today as the Cavs dismantled Grambling.

Vermont's Ernie Duncan scored 33 tonight as well, with Vermont beating Hofstra.

Kyle Guy is a ( no pun here ) "guy" to watch. Good athlete with hops and a smooth operator with great skills. Jay Bilas is one of those irritating caste speak guys. He is rather dull which is surprising since I believe he took over for the vile Dick Vitale as the head analyst. Vitale was never dull but he was always annoying. Vitale still does games but he does not get the PRIME games anymore to the best of my knowledge.

Markkanen has a lot of agility for being 7 foot. A lot of shooting range also. Some similarities to Dirk.

Dirk and Porzingis were actually the two comparisons I've heard when Markkanen has been discussed. I think they're pretty accurate.

In an interesting stat, Hofstra's Rokas Gustys pulled down an insane 26(!) rebounds and scored 10 points in a win over South Dakota.

Grayson Allen and Luke Kennard both had great games as the Blue Devils coasted past William & Mary, 88-67. Allen had 17 points, 6 assists, and 5 rebounds, while Kennard had 11 points, 8 rebounds, and 6 assists.

Arizona State's true freshman guard Sam Cunliffe scored a game high 23 points, pulled down 10 boards, and dished out 6 assists, while junior guard Kodi Justice scored 20 points in the Sun Devils' win over Citadel.

Another team to watch this year is Butler. The Bulldogs currently have two white starters, senior PG Tyler Lewis, and versatile PF Andrew Chrabascz. Lewis, with Roosevelt Jones gone, has gotten more reps as the true floor general of the offense, and has been freed up to do what he does best: make plays. In an earlier game this year, he got 8 assists. He's also been doing a bit more scoring this year, leading the team with 15 points last night against Vanderbilt. Chrabascz continues to get better. He's a below the rim player, but he has a variety of scoring moves that make him one of the Bulldogs' most effective weapons. He can also step out and shoot the three pretty good (37% career) as well. In Butler's win against Vanderbilt, Chrabascz had 12 points and 10 boards. One of the first guys off the bench for the Bulldogs is redshirt freshman Sean McDermott. The 6'6 wing player has plenty of length, and is one of those "glue guys" on the floor for his defense and hustle. He's a good athlete who's been able to knock down 3 pointers this year at a decent clip. If he's hitting his threes the Bulldogs will be dangerous. Also getting into the game for Butler are big men Nate Fowler and Joey Brunk. Fowler, a sophomore, has definitely improved his game from last year, and should see some good minutes as the year progresses. He's very active around the basket, and can also hit three pointers. Brunk may be a bit away from seeing big minutes, but he'll be a great one at Butler one day.

Vanderbilt should also be a team to watch, with two great white starters in their own right: NBA prospect Luke Kornet. The 7'3 senior is an absolute beast, able to do a bit of everything. Riley LaChance has really gotten better this year offensively as well. They have two white shooters that come off the bench: Nolan Cressler and Cameron Justice. Unfortunately, the Commodores have not looked very good this year; I hope they're able to improve and make some noise in the SEC.

Finally, a guy to watch out for in the NBA is Alec Peters. The Senior from Valporaiso was coveted by a lot of high-major programs during the offseason, and with good reason. Peters is Crusaders basketball. If he doesn't play well, they get blown out, period. He's been averaging 26(!) points and 9 rebounds per game. I saw him against BYU, and he looked as good as advertised. Even though he was getting over a case of the flu, he was the best player on the floor. He can do a bit of everything, from shooting to driving to the bucket, to creating his own shot. He's most often the only white player on the floor for Valpo, unfortunately, as the only two other white guys who get consistent minutes are the two backup centers.

I figured I'd post a few results from the last few days from our guys, as there were a few nice performances.

Gonzaga's Zach Collins scored a team-high 13 points and pulled down 6 boards, while Killian Tillie had 9 points and two boards in the Zags' win over Quinnipiac, who had a game-high 18 points from freshman guard Peter Kiss.

UCLA's white trio had a couple of good games thus far this week. From Thursday against Portland: Alford - 13 points, Leaf - 14 points and 9 boards, Welsh - 16 points and 10 rebounds. Friday against Nebraska: Alford - team-high 18 points and 6 rebounds, Leaf - 12 points, 4 rebounds, and 4 assists, and Welsh - 12 points and 11 boards. The Bruins will be playing Texas A&M in the tourney championship on Sunday at 8:30 EST. If you haven't watched the Bruins, please tune in.

Arizona's Lauri Markkanen is good. So good, in fact, the announcers I was listening to during one of his games said "he needs to get the ball more." Markkanen already leads the Wildcats in scoring at over 18 PPG. He can do a bit of everything, and is one of the Top 5 freshman in the country. Markkanen had 16 points and 9 boards in Arizona's close win against Santa Clara, and had a team-high 15 points and 5 boards in a championship game loss to Butler last night, despite sitting most of the 2nd half with foul trouble.

Speaking of Butler, they are VERY fun to watch this year. They play an unselfish brand of basketball, and that allows a variety of Bulldogs to get in the scoring column. Andrew Chrabascz had 14 points and 7 rebounds in the 69-65 Butler Victory. Tyler Lewis added four points and 6 assists, to just 2 turnovers! The offense is much more efficient when he is in the game at point guard. Sean McDermott added 6 points and a block on Markkanen off the bench as well.

Northwestern's Gavin Skelly had 15 points, 6 assists, 6 boards, and 3 blocks in the Wildcats' win against Bryant.

Elon guard Steven Santa Ana recorded a team-high 20 points and 7 boards, with the Phoenix getting past Northern Illinois in double OT.

Virginia's Jared Reuter recorded 14 points, 9 boards, and 2 assists against a suddenly very black Iowa Hawkeyes team.

Vanderbilt's Luke Kornet and Riley LaChance scored 18 and 17 points respectively to lead the commodores to a 10 points win against Santa Clara.

Boise State freshman guard Justinian Jessup will be a good one. He had a game(and career) high 20 points as the Broncos coasted past Presbyterian.

I know Oregon State's Tres Tinkle has been mentioned in this thread, and for good reason. He's easily the best player on what is a team that is still trying to gel. In the Beavers' close loss against Fresno State, Tinkle led both teams with 31 points, as well as pulling down 10 boards. This kid will be an all Pac-12 performer when all is said and done.

Maryland's Kevin Huerter (mentioned above) scored 12 points and got 10 rebounds in the Terps OT win over Richmond.

Shaka "Zulu" Smart's basketball squad is starting to look as feeble as Charlie Strong's Longhorns. Texas lost their 3rd straight after starting the season ranked in the top 25. Tonight they fell to Texas-Arlington for the first time ever. Previous losses came to Northwestern and Colorado. Hardly powerhouses.

Hopefully them losing to cupcakes is a sign of a long season ahead.

But how could this possibly be happening??? You see, Texas got a lot of 4 and 5-star recruits again! Shaka is a good coach; why aren't they winning more?? Could it be that after the first 5-10 or so guys on "Top100" lists (not even all of them) these rankings by "scouting services" are complete and utter BS, propping up black players who might not actually be one of the "100 best players" in the country? Nah, probably just more racism on the part of Texas boosters putting too much pressure on poor Shaka.

In some good news; we've had a lot of great games last night.

George Washington Senior F Tyler Cavanaugh had 20 points, 7 boards, 3 assists, and 2 blocks, while starting PG Jaren Sina was close behind him with 19 points as George Washington upset a way too black Harvard team.

As Celtic mentioned, Ethan Happ had a great game for the Badgers last night as well. Koenig also had 20 points for the Badgers.

Valpo's Alec Peters may just lead the country in scoring this year. He had another huge game, knocking off the No. 21 team in the country, all-black Rhode Island. Peters had 27 points, 9 boards, and 2 blocks in the win.

Belmont's very productive forward Evan Bradds had 21 points, 9 rebounds, and 6 assists in the Bruin's close win over Lipscomb.

Duke duo of Luke Kennard and Grayson Allen (along with Amile Jefferson) again put the Blue Devils on their backs as they beat Michigan State. Allen led the Dukies with 24 points, 4 assists, and 3 rebounds, while Kennard was 2nd on the team in scoring with 20 points to go with 6 boards. The longer Dukes precious "lottery picks" keep sitting out, the harder it will be for the BSPN announcers to keep calling them "Duke's best three players." It's very clear who Duke's best two players are. I'll give you a hint, it's not the guys who haven't played a second this year.

I finally got to watch Notre Dame last night, and boy, are they a fun team to watch this year. Celtic mentioned Farrell and Vasturia, and man, are they fun to watch. Both of these guys are quick, and can score. Vasturia had 22 points to go with 9 boards and 3 assists, while Farrell had 16 points and 7 assists.

Meanwhile for Iowa, it looks like freshman Jordan Bohannon has emerged as the Hawkeyes' starting PG. This was Bohannon's first start, and boy, did the move pay off for Fran McCaffrey. The freshman scored 23 points to go with 7 assists (to just 1 TO) in 32 minutes of game time. It looks like Iowa's got a good one for the next four years.

Davidson's Peyton Aldridge had 18 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 assists as the Wildcats blew by Mercer. Speaking of them, remember a few years ago, when a very white Mercer team upset Duke in the NCAA Tournament? Well, they must've used that newfound success to recruit some "better players" because the only white guys in the rotation this year are the 10th-12th men in the rotation.

Great write up Jack Lambert! Once again our prospects are dominating but the only one getting noticed nationally by anti white media is Grayson Allen. Again cult Marxist empire ESPN only focuses on the black freshman. The freshman hype has gotten out of control, every year they ramp it up more and more.

Thanks Celtic! It's a real shame that Allen is the only white player who gets any notice. Austin Nichols could've been another, but we all know what happened with him. As you mentioned, the media loves to talk about how good this freshman class is, except for the white freshman of course. I'm talking about Lauri Markkanen and TJ Leaf, two freshman forwards who deserve national attention, but of course, none is given. Sure, the announcers in-game will mention how good both of these guys are and that they should be talked about, but do the ideas on Sportscenter or College Basketball shows talk about them? Nope. They're too busy talking about Kentucky's new set of freshman, (slobbering incessantly over "the amazing backcourt of Fox and Monk", and how they didn't make freshman like this years ago) as well as Duke's, even though their three automatic "lottery picks" actually have yet to play. Hell, those three are talked about just as much in the game sometimes than guys like Kennard or even Jefferson are for Duke!

Anyways, let's take a look at those two freshman, starting with TJ Leaf. The media does talk about his teammate Lonzo Ball, who admittedly has been good this year, but Leaf has been better. The 6'10 freshman is currently leading the Bruins in scoring at over 17 PPG, and is second on the team in rebounding at nearly 9 per game. Need more stats? He's 2nd on the team in FG%, making nearly 68 percent of his shots. He's also first on the team in three point percentage, making 8 out of 15 (granted he doesn't shoot as much as the guards, but still damn good). Leaf is also 2nd on the team in blocked shots with 9. So if he's doing all of this for a near Top-10 team, why isn't he getting talked about as a lottery pick? Leaf is an amazing athlete, and does a lot of things well on the court, as you can see from his numbers. If you get a chance to watch him, please do.

web.sp_.mbb_.wrap_.AYeo_-431x640.jpg

TJ Leaf throwing it down!!

How about 7 footer Lauri Markkanen for Arizona? Well he's also leading a Top-15 team in scoring, at over 18 PPG. Guess what? He also leads Arizona in rebounding as well, with nearly 8 per game. Did I mention he's making over 50% of his shots, despite taking the most shots on the team thus far this season? Markkanen is also a 91% free throw shooter, and leads the Wildcats in 3 point FGs made, with 10 out of 26. Markkanen is also a long athlete that's able to create his own shot as well.

lauri-markkanen-of-the-arizona-wildcats-drives-the-ball-past-matt-of-picture-id623646090

Lauri Markkanen looks to score as he drives past his defender.

But if you just listened to the BSPN guys, you'd think Kentucky's, Michigan State's, and Duke's freshman (even though the Duke freshman still have yet to play!!!) are the only freshman worth watching. I strongly disagree, and would place both Leaf and Markkanen in the Top 5 freshman in the country. It's a travesty these two are so under the radar. Hopefully, if they keep their strong starts up, they'll be recognized more, but I'm not holding my breath on the media actually giving them accolades.

The hyped up black freshman ( Celtic is right they ramp them up more and more each passing year) has been a major annoyance over the years. I have always felt that basketball should follow in the footsteps of college baseball. For baseball a player can opt to go pro or go to college. If he chooses college he cannot be drafted until his junior year or if he is 21 years old. This way these so called stud black freshman that are playing in college today could have opted to enter the NBA Draft. Most of these kids are 18 years old so if they are old enough to join the military are they not old enough to play pro basketball? This one and done thing is beyond nauseating. Every friggen year a batch of one and done black " super stud" freshman come roaring into Kentucky and basically time stops. What is this crap? You have little chance of graduating from college on the "one year program". In general I think schooling is taken more seriously for athletes now than in the past but setting a mandatory three year school timetable sets the proper tone to student athletes that college is serious and important. Is it unfashionable to say getting a college degree is a good thing? Which is why this one and done BS is a complete sham. These freshman, and make no mistake they are all black, get free publicity by way of a drooling ESPN who indirectly act as their agents.. They use their college team as a springboard for the pros and I do not see the overall value in this charade. Sounds antiquated now but Michael Jordan went to school for three years before entering the NBA. He eventually earned a degree and went on to become a superstar NBA player. ESPN seems to think most of these fab frosh coming through are the second coming of Jordan. There was a time the college game was breathtakingly exciting with Magic and Bird and on and on. Today it is a shell of itself as young NBA wannabes steal the spotlight and kill the thrill.

When the cupboard is bare why not treasure the very small things in life. Last night Louisville turned back Purdue and one of the unlikely key players was backup red shirt freshman point guard Ryan McMahon who hit two clutch three pointers and just looked like he knew what he was doing out there.. Most all agree McMahon is not an NBA prospect (he is listed at 6'0 170lbs) and drum roll please he isn't a super jet or powerful. But don't be misled into thinking he represents the "standard white athletic stiff who can knock down threes" the media relishes to the nth degree either. The kid can jump 39 inches and he is real smart and I think that Pitino likes him. Back about five years ago Pitino had another albeit bigger leaper 6-4" Kyle Kuric who really blossomed his junior and senior years. Look for McMahon to steadily improve over the course of the next four years and make some noise. He is already a crowd favorite.

That's great to hear about McMahon!! I remember when he wasn't recruited (sound familiar) out of High School, despite putting up outstanding numbers in a good league in Florida for Cardinal Gibbons. I specifically remember Dick Vitale (who lives around that area) openly wondering more than several times why he wasn't be recruited, and that's what drew my attention to him as well. You gotta give Vitale credit, a national figure like him drawing interest to McMahon was probably what jump-started his recruitment. Pitino, surprisingly has actually had a few white players on his recent teams. Shadowlight mentioned Kuric, he also gave a chance to walk-on PG Elisha Justice a few years back, who ended up playing a fair amount for him. Luke Hancock (who was the Final Four MVP the year Louisville won), Stephan Van Treese and Mike Marra are more recent white players he's had.

In regards to your previous post about these hyped-up one and dones, I couldn't agree more. I've really wanted that rule to change to: either go pro out of High School, or go to college three years. It would make the game better, and we wouldn't have to deal with these "automatic lottery picks" any more as freshman.

UCLA and their 3 White starters went into Rupp Arena and beat #1 ranked Kentucky. Welsh 14/8, Leaf 17/13, Alford 14/1 ast.

Every single highlight on BSPN of this game that showed a UCLA player scoring showed one particular mulatto player. Not one highlight of the three white starters who combined for 45 points. Guess highlights by white players aren't exciting enough for BSPN.

Every single highlight on BSPN of this game that showed a UCLA player scoring showed one particular mulatto player. Not one highlight of the three white starters who combined for 45 points. Guess highlights by white players aren't exciting enough for BSPN.
They are hyping the crap out of that mulatto Lonzo Ball. The dishonest media is making it appear that all the success is due to him. Meanwhile TJ Leaf is averaging 17 points and 9 rebounds and not a peep.

On a positive note, there are lots of White friendly teams in the top 25. A good season so far and in many ways more palatable than college football.

Caught some highlights on PMSNBC during the golf tournament and saw one of the white players go baseline and dunk, then it was all about Ball after that.

Completely agree. While he is a part of their success (seeing as UCLA needed a point guard), he's by no means their entire team. Leaf, Alford, and Welsh have been playing great basketball. But, of course, you must give credit to the one good black player on the team with a bunch of white guys. Take Wisconsin. Happ and Koenig could literally do everything for the Badgers, but all the media cares about is Nigel Hayes.
