Jusuf Nurkic with a MONSTER game

    28 pts 20 rebounds 8 assists 6 blocks 2 steals

Really glad to see him flourishing in Portland after he trade. He is basically a Jokic clone and there wasn't room for both of them in Denver

Ivica Zubac at 19 years old, becomes the youngest Laker ever with a double double, scoring 25 points and grabbing 11 rebounds last night!

Jokic with ANOTHER triple double. His 5th of the year in only 21 minutes of action

17/10/10 and only halfway through the 3rd quarter

Jokic has become my favorite player. At this point he is playing the best of any white player in the league, even better than Hayward.

I haven't been able to do as many stat updates as usual, because of work and my continued cancer therapy, however, here are last nights top performances and there have been some good numbers already put up this evening... Hayward, UTA., with 38 tonight!
    Saric, PHI. 23/6/4 ast.
    Nowitzki, DAL. 23/9
    Barea, DAL. 20/7 ast.
    Nurkic, POR. 21/12
    PGasol, SAS. 22
    Dragic, MIA. 17
    Baynes, DET. 13/17
    Valanciunas, TOR. 11/13
    Rubio, MIN. 10/14 ast.

McDermott, OKC. had 21 points Saturday night. Although I enjoy seeing so many Europeans doing well, it stinks to see very few white American born players not getting playing time. It seems when they do, they play well. Namely Dekker and Kaminsky. When they get their chance they play exceptionally well!

Gordon Hayward had 38 points today in a loss on the road. What a season he is having!

Even though this isn't exactly a caste topic this new routine of sitting/resting star players is causing quite a stir. Advertisers and broadcast stations like ESPN and TNT are starting to realize this isn't exactly what they signed up for when they paid a ton of money for TV rights.
Fans at the arenas aren't too happy either. Imagine you are a family and Cleveland is coming to town. Say your kid is a huge Lebron James fan and this will be his only chance to see him play. But you are out of luck kid because James along with lets say Kevin Love are sitting out the game
because they need rest due to the rigorous schedule.
Let me see if I understand this? The big time players are getting paid ungodly sum of money these days. The travel, hotel, food, health management and spa arrangements are beyond first class. Basically their travel ordeal amounts to a top line vacation for regular folk. Back in the day not too long ago players routinely played back to back games in harsher conditions. No one seemed to mind or care. But these pampered pussies need time off to reset. My ass. Go ask a blue collar grunt worker or coal minor who sweat and toil under the worst conditions and get paid pennies next to these pricks who live the life of Reilly.
And blame the greasy owners as well. Their unrelenting greed by having every Tom, Dick and Harry make the playoffs makes it easier for teams to "relax" and rest their precious stars. I never ever liked the idea of expanded playoffs no matter what the sport and now some more of the bad side effects from it are coming to light. It is like this idea of giving all the kids A's in school instead of rewarding the best students. Stupid idea for schools and a stupid one for expanded playoffs.
These athletes live lives most of us can only dream about. And don't forget unlike regular people who have to lace it up every week NBA players get nearly half the year off. Bunch of babies if you ask me.

A quote from one of ESPN's clueless big mouth jerks Bomani Jones. On players resting and taking games off--"We're basically asking them to fight against what's best for their bodies in order to entertain fans." This statement is beyond offensive to all the hard working citizens who have to grind through their day with physical work that is NOT best for their bodies in order to put food on the table. Life for most is not one long yoga class you asshole elitist jerk off. I do not want to hear about the trials and travails of these pampered overpaid NBA players. You think guys who are carpenters for a living are doing what is right for their bodies? And countless other tough on the body jobs like plumbers where the strain and stress put on their bodies is enormous? And oh well should I even bring up the GIGANTIC pay difference between an every day laborer and an NBA player? Oh and when a carpenter or painter is done after a hard days work they don't have cheering frothing at the mouth fans washing them with adoration or a puppy dog media glorifying and escalating them to the status of gods. Poor NBA players so put upon and downtrodden. Pussies I tell you.

A lot of White players on the floor in last night's Spurs/Thunder game: David Lee, Pau Gasol, and Manu are still productive vets for the Spurs. Adams, Ssbonis, Abrines, Kanter, and McDermott are all youngsters getting significant minutes for the Thunder.

Kanter is one of quite a few that should be starting. If not for OKC, then for another team. When he came to OKC 2 years ago, he averaged almost 19 and 11 boards in 26 games. Since then he comes off the bench and averages almost 15 and 7. Probably would be putting up Jokic numbers if he started!

I agree about Kanter. What's not to like? I have to admit though that Jokic for me has become one of the most exciting players in the game. I hope McDermott continues to progress. Miritic on the Bulls is fun to watch as he does a litttle of everything. Philadelphia is another white friendly team. Things are better than they were around 5 to 10 years ago. I hope this trend continues and the sport becomes more enjoyable to watch like in the 80's and 90's.

Here is a clip of Jokic's 6th triple double last night. The most by an nba center since David Robinson in the early 90's. The kid has the ability to be a perenial all star.
