Lightning running circles around the Blackhawks.

    Not surprised.

Shaw is so scrappy. Love it. Lightning look to have definite speed advantage due to their youth.

Game started out interesting with the Lightning dominating, then having 13 shots on net in the last 50 minutes of the game.

Blackhawks win a desperation game at home to tie the series at two headed back to Tampa. I thought Tampa played their best game yet and Chicago was very fortunate to hold on for the win. The Lightning are a slightly better team but they are so closely matched overall that it will be no surprise if the Blackhawks gut it out and end up lifting the Cup. Just a great game to watch, the tempo and skill was something to behold.

Both teams look tired, especially Chicago. After that rousing start where you could hardly hear the anthem then they don't get a shot on a backup goalie until over half way into the first period. Two shots in the entire period. Brutal. Yet they somehow won. Tampa missed some good chances in the late flurry. There was better quality hockey earlier in the playoffs. But then that's to be expected as you can't maintain that high playoff intensity and level of play for an entire two month period (ie "second season").

I don't like the scheduling either - no doubt to suit NBC, and to avoid the NBA (which is killing the NHL playoffs in the ratings). Saturday nights in summer are active nights for most people. That said, the players look like they could do with the extra day's rest.

Chicago gutted it out and it's the team's 3rd Stanley Cup in 6 years! Awesome performance top notch toughness skill, speed, stamina, coordination, and strength displayed by both sides!
