At least this year's playoff features 3 white QBs. I think Clemson is going to be exposed - the ACC defenses are a joke.
I was at a place that had the ACC championship game on next to the BIG Ten game. What a contrast! Talk about black and white. Clemson and North Carolina looked like Historically black universities. The teams were almost all black with a smattering of white players on the offensive lines. Both QB's were run first inept passing quotabacks. The trash talking was ridiculous. Every play finished with a player jawing at an opponent. The defense was non-existent. The Big Ten game featured two majority or near majority white teams. I bet Iowa played more white guys then BYU. Both teams had white players at every position except the forbidden ones, running back and corner back. Both played a close game that emphasized defense. Neither teams QB's played well, even though both are supposed to be good ones. I have to think that Alabama is going to dismantle the Spartans and in the other game Clemson's porous defense and one dimensional offense will get exposed. I think it will be another title for Saban.
He looks pretty good returning from injury in what should be his final game in college. Even with his beach body build he making plays - has several tackles, a sack and a ff but the ball rolled out of bounds.
The AZ Wildcats are playing the New Mexico Lobos on ESPN. It's a high scoring game with the wildcats in front at the half. The good news is that Scooby Wright III has been playing for the first time in months. He looks to be like he is back to last years form. He has 9 tackles and a sack so far. Other than that it's a high scoring affair. It will be interesting to see if Scooby declares for the nfl draft in the coming weeks after this bowl game. Rumors are that he will. I'm guesing he would be a mid to late 1st round draft pick.
App St vs Ohio is a good one. Both teams playing quite a few of our athletes. Ohio RB Oullette has a rushing TD and Ohio LB Pohling has a pick six. They lead 17-7 2nd half just started.
Jeff Driskell finished with 457 yards passing & 3 TD's ..... 26 of 38....WR Trent Taylor had 10 receptions for 149 yards & TD...didn't hear Wes Welker's name mentioned until the 4th qtr.. 2-star Scooby Wright III officially declared....he will be leaving early for the NFL Utah WR Brittian Covey didn't practice all week and was not 100% due to ankle injury
Just flipped on the Boca Raton bowl to see Toledo Sophomore WR Cody Thompson take a pass from Philip Ely 80 yards for a TD. I was unaware of Thompson but he had a great sophomore season: 33 rec 706 yds 4td In this game he has 4 rec 119 yds with one td.
Watching Miami vs Washington St. Nickelback Parker Henry for Cougars has made several nice plays. Former HS RB who had to walk-on, go figure!!!
Great Sophomore year definitely put himself on my draft radar. Still has some time to prove to caste pundits he can play!
Announcers assure us one of the main reasons Washington St. is successful is because of their poly pipeline to American Samoa.. Gimme a break.
Foster Farms Bowl (UCLA-Nebraska) was a decent one. Nebraska gets the win, & in my opinion, has looked a helluva' lot better than a sub.500 team most of the year (including their win over arguably the best team in the country in Michigan ST). On the other side, thought Rosen played well for UCLA. He has great touch, and lofted in some NFL-quality TD passes. Late 4th quarter, Bruins are down by a single possession.. Rosen hits a receiver on the hands, in stride, seemingly headed into the end zone.. Ball goes incomplete. Following play Rosen throws up a prayer (after buying himself some time scrambling) that is intercepted by Nebraska. The announcer proceeds to heap heavy criticism on Rosen for his weakness throwing on the move, while the receiver escaped much blame for the previous play & costly mistake that may have tied the game. Another night in the Caste matrix..
I agree and noticed that, too. Rosen actually looked pretty nimble outside of the pocket. What else is he supposed to do when the pocket collapses? He's a true freshman QB, so he's not exactly well-seasoned yet. He should become a very good one and a future NFL signal caller. Anyway, it was Nebraska's snow-plow offensive line that paved the way for their 326 yards rushing. It won't be a snow-plow line for them next year, however. After the game, UCLA head coach Jim Mora said his team needs to "get bigger and stronger, obviously", and said they were going to start recruiting bigger players like Nebraska and Stanford. We'll see how that translates. He also was impressed by Nebraska Safety, Nate Gerry, and said he made a great football-form tackle on the one he was called for "targeting" and kicked out of the game. He said it was clean and the personal foul penalty should never have been called and didn't understand why it wasn't overturned in the booth.
Interesting stuff heretic. Rosen has been great as a true freshman. Looking forward to seeing him over the next few seasons. Hopefully Mora stays true to his word and begins recruiting Nebraska/Stanford type players. Wish I got to see the game but I was on the road traveling.
QB Thomas Sirk(Duke) had a nice 73 yard TD run on a draw-play up the middle...finished w 155 yards rushing on 20 carries & 2 TD's.... Former Walk-on WR Mitchell Paige(Indiana) only 5'-7" 176... had 11 receptions for 95 yards & TD Daniel Braverman (WMU)5 rec 101 yards &...really showed his wheels on 68 yd TD scamper! Max Morrison(Cincinnati)...7-84 Thomas Sperbeck (Boise St) 6-78 Casey Martin (Southern Miss) 6-70 RB Zack Langer(Tulsa) 8 carries for 63 yards & TD RB Ryan Wolpin(Boise St) .... 14- 87...just a soph. transfer from Northern Colorado Ex-walk-on Fullback...5'-10" 223 Sam Rogers (Va.Tech)... 6-33-1 + 2 rec- 23yds...playmaker Ex-Walk-on Fullback...5"-10" 235 Dakota Gordon (San Diego St) 4 rec for 58 yds & impressive TD...Also added TD rushing(could easily stick on 53-man NFL Roster) Ex-Walk-on Fullback...6'-1" 230 Andy Janovich(Nebraska) 6 carries for 31 yards & TD...Truly believe if given real opportunity could be a 100 yard per game "Feature" RB if given 20 carries Props to Brandon Doughty 461 yards passing & 3 TD's Found out about WR Cody Thompson later in the season..posted here abt him once or twice
Goff is carving up Air Force defense. Cal up 35-21 2nd half just started. Air Force Safety Weston Steelhamer ejected for targeting. Second bull**** targeting call I've seen on white DBs this bowl season.
Just regrettably turned on the LSU-Texas Tech game to hear that caste whore Jesse Palmer heap praise upon praise on the mulatto Mahomes.
