Great tournament. I'm not sure what happened to Dustin Johnson today, he's lost his mojo. However, he'll still be within striking distance tomorrow.

I can't stand ESPN's coverage: Mike Tirico won't shut up. Scott Van Pelt is a buffoon and should be nowhere near a golf telecast. CBS has nothing but golf guys in their coverage plus a class guy like Jim Nantz. Thank god Chris "Boomer" Berman is not on the coverage this year.

Zach Johnson prevails with a great final round in the endurance contest that was this year's Open -- five days to play four rounds followed by a three-man four-hole playoff. It's Johnson's second major following his Masters win in '07.

Jordan Spieth played very well but fell one stroke short of making the playoff. He missed too many putts in the four to eight foot range.

I watched a recording of the Open after I got off work this afternoon without knowing the winner, and what a great final round it was! Johnson was rolling in clutch putts all afternoon, especially on the back 9. Congrats to Zach on other major victory, which was very well deserved, especially with all the big names on the leader board today.

I agree on Spieth, Don. I thought his killer was that four-putt on Hole 8 for the double bogey. After he holed that awesome putt on 16, I was thinking he had the best chance to win outright. Oosthuizen's putter also let him down a lot today, including a couple of 5-8 foot birdies on the 5th and 10th holes, holes that nearly everybody in the last few groupings birdied. He did great just to make it to the playoff.

All in all, another great major, and another Tiger free weekend!
