I reluctantly even post this, since I am sure the results may be more fixed than the average election in this country. However, there is a chance to vote for a lot of good white athletes, with some "tough" choices as well:

Best Male Athlete (unhappy with the lack of white choices on this one) Peyton Manning
Best Female Athlete Ronda Rousey / Mikaela Shiffrin
Best Team Boston Red Sox / LA Kings / San Antonio Spurs
Comeback Athlete Josh Beckett / Sidney Crosby / Dominic Moore
Breakthrough Athlete Nick Foles
Best Championship Performance Jimmie Johnson
Best Game Rangers vs. Kings
Best Upset Weidman over Silva
Best NFL Player Luke Kuechly / Peyton Manning
Best MLB Player Mike Trout
Best NHL Player Crosby/Getzlaf/Kopitar/Lundqvist/Toews
Best Coach/Mgr John Farrell / Gregg Popovich
Best Fighter (this was the most idiotic, with no white male nominees) Ronda Rousey
Best Jockey Mike Smith
Best Golfer Kaymer/Scott/Stenson/Watson
Best Female Golfer Stacy Lewis / Suzann Pettersen
Best Tennis Player Djokovic / Murray / Nadal
Best Female Tennis Player Sharapova / Radwanska
Best Male College Athlete Four solid superstars and one Florida State thug nominated
Best Play Tomas Hertl goal vs. NYR
Josh Reddick scales wall vs. SFGiants
Johnny Manziel escape vs. Duke
SMU Garrett Gilbert 2-point conversion
Henrik Lundqvist save vs. Montreal

Literally no one cares about the ESPYs, everything they do is already done better by some other organization.

What's with the Spurs? They were starting 0 whites during the NBA finals. Yes, they were better than the Heat, but they're not even close to being white-friendly by general sports standards (as opposed to {odious} NBA standards).

It's a tough crowd. David, I agree that there are much better organizations than ESPN. But since a lot of people unwise to the caste system will watch the ESPYs, I would like to see some good white athletes get recognized...that's all.

Pamela, I proudly voted for the LA Kings in category of best team. I just listed the Spurs as a possible choice because I read a lot of people on these forums cheering for them in the playoffs. I can't say I've watched a full NBA game in the last six years.

Veritas, I like the Foles nomination for 'breakthrough'. It's hard for me personally, to think of a guy in pro sports who exceeded expectations more than Foles did last season (?) In my mind, Foles & Luck are the two best young QBs in the game right now.
Also like your nod for the Kings, pulled out some series that didn't look good, and did it in a grueling, marathon playoff season. This was one of the most competitive Stanley Cup playoffs I've seen. Spurs were legit. too, damn near swept the defending champs.. they were equal to the LA Kings I think..

Always wonder about these fan elections tho; is there an independent accounting firm that tallies the votes (?) Or does ESPN ultimately have a 2 or 3 man (Stephen A & Skip Bayless) electoral college that writes down their own short list of ultimate winners..
