Worth noting Brooklyn destroyed OKC tonight, 116-85...

Bogdanovic, BRK. 12/2/2/2
Plumlee, BRK. 10/8
and Teletovic also played well too. Lots of white players on Brooklyn!

Nowitzki, 21 pts., and Parsons, 22, having big games for Dallas, while beating up on Boston in the 4th, 98-85.

M.Gasol, 16/11 as Memphis beats New Orleans. Anderson, NO. had a horrific game going 2/14, 7 points. He did have 9 boards,

also...

Hayward, UT. 27/7/5
Kanter, UT. 17/9

Parsons finished with 29 pts. and..
Nowitzki, 27/7/5

I'd like to know the last time a team had two whites average 20+ points per game for a season. Maybe Bird and McHale back in the 80s?
I don't know the answer to that question but it'd be great to see. I think it'll be tough to achieve since the Mavs share the ball a bit and neither Dirk nor Chandler force a ton of shots. Dirk will probably average 20-22 points and Chandler 17-19. Though I hope I'm wrong about Parsons.

After scoring 12 points in 10 minutes of the first half, McDermott is rewarded with 1 min. of playing time in the second half. A lot of so-so type performances last evening with many of our guys getting playing time.....

Gasol, CHI. 16/13
Dragic, PHX. 16/7/4
Anderson, NOP. 16/3
Osik, NOP. 10/11
Hansbrough, TOR. 12/7 in limited mins.
Collison, OKC. 11/8
Adams, OKC. 10/6

Gordon Hayward with the game winning shot over Thompson while playing against Cleveland.
His final stat-line: 21/4/7
Hayward also had a chase down block on Lebron then followed it with an emphatic dunk.

I saw the highlights of this game last night. Hayward's game winning shot was great. On that 3 point play when James was given the foul - he totally traveled and it was not called. Kyrie Irving is a ball hog as well - 34 pts/0 assts as a supposed point guard is ridiculous.

I wonder if Love misses Rubio?

Hayward is really coming into his own though, its great to see.

I'm not here to back up any black athlete including Kyrie Irving, but Irving was a good assist player as well as a scorer in his 1/2 year in college at Duke and he can be in Cleveland.

In last evening's contest with Utah, the blame and ball hogging can't all be placed on Irving. Love shot 2-10 from the floor or 20%. Love is a career 45% shooter. Lebron was better at 8-18, 44%, and is a career 49% from the floor.

Both Love and James are going to have to start shooting for a better percentage if they're going to be contenders. Love is shooting a dismal 36% on the season and James is at 41%.

Obviously, Love needs to get more shots and maybe Irving is trying to do too much, but the bottom line is they don't have it together at this point in the season!

Maybe that's where a little coaching should come in to play?

The Bulls win again. Mike Dunleavy finally broke out and had a big game. He scored 26 points to pair with Gasol who had 17 points and 12 rebounds. McDermott had 8 points in limited minutes. I would love to see this kid play more because he can score from anywher on the court. He is like a bigger version of Fredette.

Rubio got hurt for Minnesota tonight. Hope it's not serious. Pekovic had 16 points in a loss to the Magic.

Dallas and Phoenix are looking good so far. Both early first half.

Dirk had a big game last night for Dallas, scoring 27 and grabbing 10 boards, while Parsons struggled again going 1-11!

Nowitzki, 26,913 pts., pulls within 33 points of Hakeem Olajuwon, 26,946, for 9th on the all-time scoring list. Then it's on to passing Elvin Hayes for 8th, 27,313!

Thanks for the update C.S. As I've always said I'm a huge fan of Dirk Nowitzki. He is the best player since Bird. No doubt about it. Kevin Love might have become the next Dirk but choose to team up with Lebron. I think he will regret that decision in a few years. His stats will falter and I doubt he wins the title he wants. He is the 3rd option on that ball hog team at best. Love could have had a Nowitzki type career. Not now.

Long live King Dirk Nowitzki. Anything less than a top 5 scorer ever would be dissapointing. He will get there.

No problem WL. You've been a big supporter of Nowitzki and I have to agree with your comparison to Bird.

J.J. Redick finally getting it together. He had 30 points today for the Clippers as they beat Portland!

Early game top performances......

Gordon Hayward, UT. 33/6/4 stls., now avg. a career high 19.9pts/game. Could this be the year when Hayward becomes a star?

Olynyk, BOS. 21/6

Vucevic, OR. 18/9/4

Anderson, NOP. 16/6 in 22 minutes

Korver, ATL. 12/6/7 asst.

Love, CLE. 12/15/4 asst. Love continues his abysmal shooting going 2 for 10. I know he's not getting a lot of shots, but he's got to make the best of his opportunities or risk a career low in scoring.

Hayward is fun to watch. He can do it all. For once the Jazz made a good business decision to not let the kid go. They have been a very dark team for quite a few years now and it has gotten them no where. Go back to a fair and balanced team like in the Stockton/Malone days and they will find success again. Hayward and Kanter are both good ball players. They need a few more pieces.

Kevin Love should have went to another team or stayed in Minnesota. I didn't like the deal from day one. He chose his bed and now he has to sleep in it. Even if he is the 3rd or 4th option in shooting and he will get little to no credit for any wins the Cavs get. Lose/lose situation in my honest opinion. If he is smart he goes to the Lakers after this season. Rumors are he is not happy and already considering to opt out of his contract. Run while you can Kevin. That is if you want to save your career.

Alot of nice performances tonight. Glad to see K. Olynk starting to play like I knew he could.

Last year the Wolves were losers too but they seemed to be in every game up to the last minute. It's too bad that they had so many injuries the last couple of years when they were very white. Love has foolishly traded being a franchise player for being a role player on Team James.

No doubt Love was backbone of that franchise so its no wonder they are struggling. Probably will for a couple more years. Trading Love for a rookie is just stupid.
