Looks like they got, or, are going to get Donovan McNabb.. for a 6th round pick in 2012 and another 6th rounder in 2013!

The danger I see here is that, if McNabb catches "lightning in a bottle".. the media will attack Shanahan more and accuse most (Caste) NFL teams of "racism" for not wanting him/not wanting to offer much for him, the "great" McNabb.

Minnesota has more offensive weapons than Washington, but also some O-line and secondary problems, but some studs like Chad Greenway also. We'll have to see if Jared Allen starts the season strongly or not.

I think McNabb is done. He's only an average quarterback at this point in his career. It would be nice to see Rhett Bomar as the starter. He's a young white quarterback who hasn't played any games yet but it looks like a pipe dream with the afflete McNabb getting signed.

McNabb might have something left in the tank. Favre did well there so maybe another old man QB could have success. Minnesota may be thinking of 1998 when they got Randall Cunningham, another black Philly QB cast off and went on a 15-1 run. Not that that will happen again but they got a good supporting cast.

Yeah Deadlift could be right. This was one of the worst places McNabb could have went for us, especially if he gets lucky and has a good season with Minnesota. the media could blow this thing up as Favre couldn't get it done and McNabb can. Let's hope not.

My guess is he's fat and out of shape and it doesn't happen for him. I think his best is way behind him.

From Christian Ponder's twitter:

"Excited to have McNabb join. Will learn a lot from a Pro Bowler. But that doesn't mean I'm not still fighting to start week 1!"

I like his attitude. I hope he comes out fighting a quickly pushes McNabb to the back burner where he now belongs.

The black supremacist would rather see his team lose all season rather than play a talented white quarterback.

NFL Network's Mike Lombardi insists the Vikings won't be changing quarterbacks anytime soon.

Coach Leslie Frazier did say earlier in the week that Donovan McNabb is "his guy," and the Vikes won't be turning to rookie Christian Ponder. "McNabb is the guy this year," says Lombardi. "If they (turn to Ponder), they’re sending the message to the team that basically they’re looking toward next year. ... Ponder didn’t play well during the preseason. The team knows he didn’t win the job."

McNabb played much better week two. We'll be able to see if Frazier is a black supremacist if he refuses to get Gerhart 5-14 carries a game to spell Peterson as the year progresses. Gerhart is TOO TALENTED a backup (he shouldn't have been drafted as a backup) to have even a back as talented as Peterson get more than 75% of the RB carries this season. Keeping Peterson fresh and letting Gerhart get some work will help the team. We'll see if Frazier figures this out and finds some faith in Gerhart.

Realistically the coach should be giving 40% of the RB carries to Gerhart- although I doubt any coach in the league would have the balls to do this with Peterson there. They should really be putting Gerhart in for a whole drive per game as well as a little spot work so he can be most effective. If Peterson were to leave via FA or trade I doubt the Vikings offense would miss a beat with Gerhart.

Christian Ponder is now the Minnesota Vikings starting quarterback, according to a league source, and will make his starting debut this Sunday at home against the Green Bay Packers.

Vikings coach Leslie Frazier made the decision this week and has notified Donovan McNabb.
Ponder was selected with the No. 12 pick in April's draft. With the Vikings' offense struggling, it is Ponder's opportunity to shake up this 1-5 team.
The rookie played in the fourth quarter of a blowout loss to the Chicago Bears on Sunday night, going 9-for-17 passing for 99 yards.
