The Irish shock the world!! This is incredible! Jack Cooley continued the tradition of tough Irish sportsmen.. we aren't "scared" to play b-ball and continue to make inroads.

Pat Connaughton is a young beast as well.

South Dakota State beat their rivals, North Dakota State in overtime yesterday!

Nate Wolters contributed 27 points to the Jack's effort last night. Jordan Dykstra and Griffin Callahan contributed 20 and 19 points respectivily. White players scored all of the Jackrabbit's points last night! :)

Davidson is tearing through the Southern Conference with their four white starters, and are currently 14-4 and 8-0 in the Southern Conference. They destroyed Citadel last night 80-51.

Jake Cohen again led the Wildcats with 20 points. J.P. Kuhlman had 11 as well. Guard Nick Cochran only had 9 points, but he also had 6 rebounds.

So far, Chapman has 15 points, 8 rebounds and 5 blocks!!

i first posted about Chapman at Texas back in 2009, after having seen him put on a phenomenal (and i'm not using that word lightly) aerial display in pre-game warm-ups before the Longhorns-Razorbacks game at Bud Walton Arena in Fayetteville, AR. a sophomore bench-warmer at the time, i recall wondering what kept the impressively athletic 6-10 forward on the bench.

reports out of UT indicate that the now-senior is the most improved player on the team, and for the first time in his collegiate career is averaging double-figure minutes of game action. the results have been strong, thus far: 1.6 blocks per game, 5.6 rebounds per, and a solid-if-unspectacular 6.4 points per, whilst shooting a stellar 50.6% from the floor. he just doesn't get many touches on the offensive end.

and he can certainly jump.

In Texas' ugly win over Iowa State.. Clint Chapman had 8 points, 5 rebounds and a game-high 3 blocks. With all of the missed shots, Chapman should have gotten a few more rebounds.

J'Covan Brown is a sack of sh*t, and it was ridiculous how the refs pandered to him in some games I watched late last season, giving him countless free-throws. He's a pretty good free-throw shooter, so the refs were essentially "saving him." In said games, the announcers' were treating him like a "big star."

Good to see that he wasn't saved today.. he went 3-16 from the field, 4-5 FT and had 5 turnovers.

Duke avoided Maryland's upset bid tonight. Mason Plumlee had 23 points and 12 rebounds.

Creighton's beast, Doug McDermott had 30 points and 9 rebounds tonight in the Bluejay's win over Drake. This guy is an amazing player to watch.

Also, all black #2 Missouri lost tonight to Oklahoma State!!

Athletic big man Erik Murphy was finally involved in Florida's game plan some yesterday. He finished with 14 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 blocks in the Gator's win over Miss. State.

Mason Plumlee had a great game yesterday for Duke, finishing with 15 points and a career high 17 rebounds!! Congrats to Mason on a great performance.

Ryan Kelly did pretty good too, finishing with 16 points and 9 rebounds.

The Blue Devils held off a feisty St. John's team 83-76.

Doug McDermott had another great game for Creighton, finishing with 24 points and 6 rebounds.

Joe Harris and Sammy Zeglinski are some pretty consistent and athletic players for Virginia. They each had 12 points last night in their 1 point win against NC State.

Notre Dame continued it's win streak today, upsetting No. 19 UConn at home!!

Notre Dame 50, UConn 48

Jack Cooley had 8 points, 7 boards, and 2 blocks.

Scott Martin had 10 points, 7 boards, and 3 assists.

Pat Connaughton finished with 8 points, and 5 rebounds. I think Connaughton will be a very good player for the Irish one day.

Indiana 103, Iowa 89

Cody Zeller had a huge game for the Hoosiers today, finishing with 26 points.!

Matt Gatens played well in the loss for Iowa, scoring 20 points and getting 4 steals.

North Carolina 93, Georgia Tech 81
Tyler Zeller had a good night for UNC, with 17 points, 3 rebounds, and 2 blocks.

Apparantly, UNC has another white player who gets a couple minutes per game for them in freshman walk on Stilman White. He had 3 points on 1-1 shooting, and had 1 assist and 1 steals.

UCONN is a big team and that's something Notre Dame isn't...

It's absolutely incredible that Notre Dame held UCONN to 48 points!! We are reaching new territory here!

In a win over Wake, Tyler Zeller had 18 points and a career-high 18 rebounds! I think he's heating up now.

Ryan Kelly had 15 points in a win at V-Tech! This junior is transforming himself into an NBA prospect.

Right now, Kentucky is dominating the "dead-eye shooters" from Gainesville! Live by the 3, die by the 3..

in case anyone is interested ... at 8:00 PM Central time tonight, Duke faces off against arch-rival North Carolina on ESPN.

the matchup pits UNC's fleet-footed (widely regarded as the fastest big man in the country from end-to-end) and high-flying power Tyler Zeller against a trio of athletic bigs from Duke: Mason and Miles Plumlee and Ryan Kelly.

while the Blue Devils are much less White than in years past (highlighted by a starting pair of light-skinned, poor-defending, bad-shot-forcing, ball-hogging black guards), they are still a national power with high-impact White athletes.

sadly, the Tarheels have looked black as tar under Roy Williams who built a dominant program while at Kansas with an abundance of White talent to go along with a frequent black star. at UNC, cry baby Williams has almost completely eschewed the White talent he used to covet. fitting, i suppose, since he's walking in the shoes of former Tarheel head coach, and leftwing political advocate, Dean Smith. Smith is Williams' coaching idol.

Tyler Zeller is having a MONSTER half. with 4 minutes left in the first, he has 19 points and 7 rebounds. nice!

Mason Plumlee and Ryan Kelly are also playing well on both ends of the floor, but they aren't getting many touches on the offensive end. Miles Plumlee has picked up two fouls in limited minutes.

Zeller closes out the first half with a blocked shot as Duke was trying to score at the end of the half (and shot clock). the block led to a fast break score, and UNC has all the momentum as they've regained the lead going into the break.

Duke's guards are killing their team with poor shots and turnovers. they have hit a bunch of 3s, though. still, it's just a 3-point difference at halftime.

I've been watching the Duke-UNC game. Tyler Zeller's been a monster tonight for UNC. Duke has lived by the 3 so far in this game, and right now, they're dying by it. UNC is up 10. I noticed UNC also uses a white freshman walk on Point Guard, Stilman White some each game this year.

Jeff Withey had 25 points and 5 boards for Kansas in thier win over Baylor!

Jack Cooley currently has 15 points and 9 boards in the Irish's game against West Virginia.

Disappointing late-game collapse by UNC, which invariably takes Zeller's performance out of the spotlight.

I'll take Duke over NC even with their new found love for mulatto guards. Rivers hit a big shot but so did Kelly on a previous possession with the game still much in doubt.
