No Toby Gerhart as he is inactive. The Vikings are starting their blackest line ever I believe. Only two white offensive linemen and Brett Favre. The pathetic fullback Tahi has already shown his inability to block. This season will end with Favre being carted off and Tarvis being booed on and then off the field.

I was hoping Gerhart was inactive after I saw total ineffective Albert Young losing yards out there.

Vikings are going to get manhandled up front this season, specifically in pass protection. I almost feel bad for Favre who has to rely on two sumo tackles to protect him. On second thought, I don't, he should have stayed retired this year. Childress's ship will sink this season!
The overwhelming change of the last 5 years or so has been on the O-line. This used to be an 80% white postiion and both the Pats and Giants started all-white lines in the 2008 Super Bowl as did the other teams in the championship games that season(Chargers and Packers).

Greg Camarillo just caught a 29 yard pass...and immediately Al Michael said "a slot Wes Welker-type"...Collinsworth said he was "suprisedhe was not in the game early"..and "he's not fast".

Another year, another castean remark by our fav Uncle Cris. Camarillo makes a great atheletic catch I believe for over 15 yards. Uncle Cris says, "great catch, he is pro, but is not fast." What I would like to know is his 40 time. And if this was your typical black scrub, whose forty time was slower than Greg's, F'ing Uncle Cris would say the same thing except for the 'but is not fast' part.
Camarillo has only been with the Vikings a short time, but obviously understands the team's offense better than Percy Harvin and Bernard Berrian, who were useless the entire game. When Brad the Mangina Childress finally let Camarillo in the game, Favre immediately looked to him almost exclusively. It's not hard to imagine Logan Payne also being much more effective in this game than Harvin and Berrian.
How do you make two defensive tackles with no ability to penetrate and rush the passer NFL stars? Answer; invent a fancy nickname like "The William's Wall."

Played a softball game tonight. Rec league. Had fun. So, thanks guys for the report. Sounds like I didn't miss much tonight. The T-train was in the roundhouse and sounds like the NFL has cranked up his coal black engine. It'll be spewing that dark smoke for the next 16-20 weeks or so. If I was a betting man, I'd bet a thousand buck that the Great Brett Favre is not going to last very long with the current Vikings O-line. Rosenfels holds a clipboard. TJ runs the Vikings off the cliff. Yep, the NFL logic stinks like the curls of black smoke spewing out of that tired old caste engine that couldn't. Perhaps I'll checkout the Browns game to see if Hills is getting any carries. I'm not holding my breath.

If I recall correctly, we have referred to both MIN and NO as relatively white-friendly teams. I only counted a total of 11 white starters on both teams out of a possible 44, for a lousy 25%. So, if this is now what passes as white-friendly, I think we're in some deep trouble.
It was mostly a boring game, yet another unwatchable black-fest. It seems that the more things change, the more they stay the same. On the MIN side, other than TE Shiancoe, there was absolutely zero receiving threats out there. Camarillo came in to make a 29 yard catch, only to be promptly put back in his place and not get another look again. It seems that the unwritten rule of punishing and banishing white players who make plays was in full effect for him (even though we've determined he's not 100% white). In a sane and fair world free of AA, Logan Payne would be out there catching balls and moving the chains, instead of rotting on the practice squad. Instead, we're forced to watch Bernard Berrian, Percy Harvin, and Greg Lewis combine for a whopping 3 receptions and 27 yards.
It was very disappointing to see Gerhart inactive tonight. This was not the best way for him to start his NFL career, considering he's the best white RB candidate we've had in a long time to finally break the spell. I hope he's back by week 2 at the latest.
Albert Young had another legendary performance tonight, and if that doesn't cement his status as the #2 back behind Peterson, I don't know what will.
I can imagine the headlines at Rotoworld tomorrow:
"Albert Young had a solid game Thursday night, rushing for 2 yards on 3 totes. While that may not sound like much, most of that blame should go to LG Steve Hutchinson and C John Sullivan for their poor run blocking efforts. The only thing keeping me from following the NFL is the small number of white players I continue to root for. If they screw Gerhart, Hillis, Woodhead, et al, I think I'll stop watching all together eventually.

The Vikings defensive line can't tackle. No help from Fat Williams. It's amazing how something that big can be so easily manhandled. I guess he's only effective at blind siding and sucker punching White running backs during no contact drills.

I have not regularly watched the NFL since 1984. I only watch if there are(is) good white player(s) on the teams. I was looking forward to tonight's game, but once I found out TG was not playing, the game was put way back on the back burner. I only caught bits and pieces while I rode the stationary bike at the gym. I amazed how alot of white people get into watching this sham.

In spite of the success of the Denver-style zone-blocking scheme O-line, which emphasized quick, fast, strong, smart, and not overly huge offensive lineman, the NFL overall is now emphasizing big fat sumo space-eaters. It's another argument against those who say that "the best players play". The offenses with the zone-block lines have more yards-per-carry for the RB's and fewer sacks, and markedly so than the new "rage" which places size (read: fat) first.Liverlips said:

Next week when Toby is healthy we shall see if the castesystem rears its ugly head. I suspect TG getting in and being effective. Then Childress in a dysfunctional attempt to placate the affelets, takes out TG and give the scrub Young some carries. I hope that I am wrong.

Although I avoided a large portion of this game, from the defensive snaps I saw, you guys are right, the "Williams Wall of Fat" was pathetic. I also noticed that Jared Allen was double and triple-teamed every play, yet the fantastic, ultra-affletic Ray Edwards did absolutely nothing. He was completely stoned by a single blocker every play, and if I'm not mistaken, ended up with ONE tackle for the whole game. Yet Robison sits on the bench.icsept said:

Young saw some action on third downs early in the game, but the drop in talent from Adrian Peterson was striking. Don't expect him to remain a factor once Toby Gerhart (ankle) gets back to full health.

Concerning O-lines, I don't believe there has been a big drop-off of white linemen over the last five years, I believe the drop-off began years ago. The mostly white or all white o lines of two years ago on New England, Green Bay, New York Giants and San Diego are still the same.
I'm hopeful that the mostly black o-lines of Tampa Bay, New Orleans, Washington and Chicago will change as part of overall shakeups down the road,as happened to Atlanta and Buffalo.
