Caste Football Looks at the 2010 Jacksonville Jaguars

For the last several years the only sure things have been death, taxes, and the Jacksonville Jaguars being the blackest team in the National Football League. Now only the first two are sure things as the Jags have been surpassed by the Steelers, Buccaneers and several other teams in the affirmative action-fueled NFL.

Whether or not the slight but definite "whitening" of the Jaguars is related to the fact that the team has had the weakest fan support in the league during its coal black era despite being a playoff contender on occasion isn't known but can be surmised. It appears that even America's tens of millions of mindless Drunk White Fans (DWFs) have their limits on how black they like their football teams. The Jaguars flirted for years with just 9 and 10 White players on the roster, as have other organizations at times (Baltimore, New Orleans, and now Pittsburgh and Tampa), but no team has dipped below that number. Of course, considering that the placekicker, punter and long snapper are almost always White, that doesn't leave much further to go to have a roster that resembles Grambling far more than it does America, where a large majority of star players in high school are White, only to be dramatically weededout when it comes to college recruiting, and then again when the increasingly farcial NFL conducts its now three day annual exercise in drafting "reaches" and "projects," most of whom go on to be busts.

Jack Del Rio is fighting to keep his job in 2010, but the Jags are reloading and aren't likely to challenge Indianapolis and Houston in the AFC South. Jacksonville could have drafted popular Florida native Tim Tebow but passed, choosing once again to let David Garrard, a competent game manager but little else, be the starting quarterback. Garrard doesn't throw many interceptions but he doesn't throw many TD passes either. Now 32, it is extremely unlikely he'll ever rise above mediocrity.

Backing up Garrard is Luke McCown, who is what Garrard isn't, an excellent passer, and he is a fine athlete as well. It's possible McCown could take over from Garrard at some point in 2010 or next year if the team doesn't draft a quarterback in the first or second round.

There are three White starting o-linemen, a welcome contrast to the team's previous lines under Del Rio and to the league's strong drive to turn the offensive line as artificially and undeservedly black as is the defensive line. RT Eben Britton was a second round draft pick out of Arizona in 2009; center Brad Meester is in his 11th season; and Alabama grad Justin Smiley, formerly of the 49ers, starts at left guard.

Pat McQuistan and Jordan Black are backup linemen.

Zach Miller is the backup to chronic underachiever Mercedes Lewis at tight end, but is faster, more athletic and has far better hands than Lewis.

Zach Potter, a first year player out of Nebraska, is the third tight end.

Brock Bolen, the bruising power back out of Louisville, is listed as the third string fullback. Bolen was actually "allowed" to play a fair amount of tailback in the Jags' 2010 preseason games and did very well, which undoubtedly shocked many people but shouldn't have as Bolen is very strong and knows how to run. He should be one of a number of White power backs being used in the NFL who are instead wasted as "fullbacks," which nowadays means little more than a backfield o-lineman. If Maurice Jones-Drew were to go down to an injury, rest assured that Bolen would be seventh or eighth on the list of possible replacements.
The Jaguars even have a White wide receiver, John Matthews out of San Diego, who is currently low man on the totem pole. Like just about all White receivers, Matthews runs nice routes and has excellent hands. Will he be treated better than Matt Jones, who was drafted in the first round in 2005 but was openly disliked by Del Rio and many of his alleged "teammates"? Highly unlikely as hundreds of White receivers over the past generation who had the ability to play in the NFL were denied a fair opportunity.

Jacksonville made a smart move in signing Aaron Kampman to play defensive end during the offseason as Kampman is among the very best at his position, a great pass rusher who can also stuff the run. Kampman blew out a knee last season, when Green Bay inexplicably moved him to outside linebacker, but appears to be one hundred percent again.

Sean Considine opened the season as the starter at strong safety, but like every White defensive back not named Weddle or Leonhard, he plays with the shortest of leashes, every single mistake or possible miscue magnified a hundred-fold by the reliably anti-White White fans, who seem to find White defensive backs even more enraging than White receivers and running backs.

Backup linebackers Russell Allen and Jacob Cutrera are Jacksonville's only other White defensive players.

The Jaguars have "only" four black assistant coaches, a low number for a league where the Caste System has spread well beyond the field of play into coaching, scouting and broadcasting. Of course the owners remain predominantly Jewish and White. Can't get carried away and take the league's extremist form of affirmative action to its logical conclusion now can we?

    Jaguars waived WR John Matthews.

Matthews played just three snaps in the opener, dropping the only pass thrown his way. He goes to make room for veteran tight end Ernest Wilford.

Cutting Matthews is another sickening move because the Jags already have 3 tight ends. Zach Miller, the backup to the bust Mercedes Lewis, is probably as good or better than his namesake on the Raiders (and way better than Lewis). And for Ernest Wilford? Give me a break. Wilford's becomea joke even among DWFs. But the Caste mindset (in this case Black Jack Del Rio's) wouldprefer havinga slow-as-molasses, never-was black near the end of his career on the roster as the fourth TE rather than a young and talented White receiver with potential.Edited by: Don Wassall

One positive thing is that Ernest Wilford was moved to tight end by the Dolphins last year. He got away with playing wide receiver for almost five season despite possibly being the slowest receiver in the league.

Ugh, Jags revert to what they know: cut the White boys!

Terrible. What a short leash they have on their White players.
    Any news on John Matthews?
I hope he stays in shape and pesters teams each Monday when the injuries some out from the day before.

That Incedible catch Matthews made in pre season and his overall consistency would have been enough for a black WR to make it on the roster. Having Considine and Bolen is one too many white athletes for the Blacksonville Jags.

Question for anyone that may remember. Does anyone remember Curtis Marsh? He played a few seasons for Jacksonville back in the late 90's. I am pretty sure he was white though I can't find a pic. That was probably the only white wide receiver to play in the regular season for Jacksonville other than Matt Jones.

During the Chargers game while Mccown was in as QB, I believe the Jags actually had 6, yes a whopping 6, white players in their total offense/defense rotation, with two on defense and four on offense. It also marked the first time that I can recall a white QB playing significant regular season minutes for awhile.

I always thought Marsh was White, as from what I could tell he looked White and was treated by the NFL like a White player as he kicked around the league for years, only actually playing in '95 (7 catches with Jax) and '97 (2 catches with Pgh.) even though he was big and fast and had good hands and had kicked assplaying for Utah. But there was a thread here a while back that showed his son and he looked mixed. So either Curtis is mixed himself or else his wife or gf is black.

Thanks for the info. I wasn't able to find a picture of him on NFL.com or anywhere for that matter. I only remember him because I had NFL 98 for Playstation and remember he had white skin in the game. I found a picture of his son though and he plays for Utah. http://www.utahstateaggies.com/sports/m-footbl/mtt/marsh_curtis00.html

It's like guys that played pre-internet that weren't well known at the time never existed it's so hard to find information and pictures on them.

I remember in the first days of CF, we had a really good tribute thread to the White college players of the '90s we rooted for. Unfortunately that thread disappeared when the site was upgraded in September of '04.

Luke McGown suffered a serious knee injury and will probably be done for the year. The Jaguars have no other qbs on the roster besides that hack Garrard. It will be interesting to see who they sign. Rhett Bomar would be a good option.

They might just go the predictable route and just find a black retread qb.

The MSM isn't "praising" David Garrard anymore, huh?..

Somewhat suprised by this signing. Hopefully Edwards takes Garrard's job sooner rather than later.

Too bad Luke McCown suffered a season ending injury in the preseason; he'd be the starter by now. Looks like Black Jack Del Rio is finally learning, but most likely too late to save his job after this season. From Weenieworld:

Coach Jack Del Rio had more harsh words for QB David Garrard Tuesday following the Jaguars' addition of Trent Edwards. "Obviously, we can't function as a football team if we're playing that poorly in particular with our passing game," said Del Rio. It will take some time for Edwards to learn the offense, but Garrard's seat couldn't be hotter heading into this week's game against the Colts. The Jags have added three QBs (Edwards, Todd Bouman, Keith Null) in the past week.

A day in the life of Kassim Osgood:

<H1>Jags receiver Osgood flees from gun-wielding attacker </H1>
    <DIV style="BORDER-BOTTOM: medium none; TEXT-ALIGN: left; BORDER-LEFT: medium none; : transparent; COLOR: #000000; OVERFLOW: ; BORDER-TOP: medium none; BORDER-RIGHT: medium none; TEXT-DECORATION: none">

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) -- Jacksonville receiver Kassim Osgood leapt out a second-floor window to escape a gun-wielding man who attacked him and a 19-year-old Jaguars cheerleader, according to police.

The armed intruder exchanged gunfire with his ex-girlfriend, Mackenzie Rae Putnal, after putting a gun to her head Monday night, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.

According to the sheriff's report, Osgood, 30, sustained some minor bruises during the attack and while fleeing.

"He's fine," Jaguars coach Jack Del Rio said Wednesday. "I'm aware of it. I really can't comment on that whole deal. He's doing OK."

The Florida Times-Union first reported the incident.

Julian Armond Bartletto, 20, of Jacksonville, was arrested on charges of aggravated battery, false imprisonment, armed robbery, burglary and violation of an injunction. He was being held without bond at the Duval County Jail.

Putnal and Osgood were watching television around 11 p.m. in an upstairs game room when a man walked in with his face covered with a plastic bag and pointed a gun at them. Saying "I can't believe you're with that guy," the man pulled Putnal around the room by her hair and hit her with the gun and his fists before hitting Osgood in the head with the gun, according to the report.

The gunman took Putnal's cell phone and tackled her as she tried to flee. When he ordered the couple to sit on the floor, she escaped downstairs in her parents' home and grabbed a gun, police said. They shot at each other and both missed.

Osgood, meanwhile, jammed a chair under the door, jumped out a window to the lawn below and ran to a neighbor's house to call police.

Putnal identified the man as her ex-boyfriend and called police, according to the report. Bartletto was later found at his home and arrested.

The Jaguars declined comment on Putnal's status as one of the team's 32 cheerleaders. She is listed in the 2010 media guide as a dental hygiene major, but she is no longer on the team's website. The team has a rule forbidding cheerleaders to date players.

Osgood has two receptions for 29 yards this season, including a 24-yard TD catch in the opener against Denver. He played seven seasons for San Diego, and made three Pro Bowls as a special teams ace, before signing with the Jaguars.Read more: http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2010/football/nfl/09/29/jaguars.osgood.ap/index.html?eref=sihp#ixzz10yWxu3fC

Kassim Osgood is the same guy that I posted a blog about that was titled something like; "Kassim Osgood, the Matt Jones we always wanted." A scathing article on Matt Jones that glorified Osgood as a better player and a guy with much greater character. Kassim has produced 2 catches for 29 yards thus far this season and bagged a 19 year old team cheerleader - a clear violation of team rules. We don't have to guess how the media would treat a 30 year old white player in the same situation. Kassim, on the other hand, is being made out to be a victim.

Aaron Kampman with another ACL tear, lost for a year. 4 sacks and 30 QB pressures, team high.

Black Jack Del Rio will be back to coach the Jags in 2011 even though they missed the playoffs again this year. Apparently Del Rio has the Jeff Fisher formula for longevity down pat -- field mediocre teams, but let them be led by black quarterbacks. Edited by: Don Wassall

Black Jack reminds me of those villains from the horror movies who just won't die and keep coming back. Year after year, he coaches these mediocre teams which fail to make the play-offs, and somehow is able to keep his job, despite the falling attendance at the home games. I guess over Blacksonville, they are happy with being average, as puzzling as that may be. Short of a disastrous 2-14/3-13 type campaign, Del Rio does indeed appears to have locked up that job as long as he manages to win between 6-9 games every year. Edited by: foobar75
