I agree WA33 whites are virtually ignored in the D-line and secondary. BTW* Bryan Bulaga will receive an invite once he declares for the draft which will most likely be after tonight1

Only 1 white defensive back and 2 defensive linemen. That is pretty sad stuff. There are a few linebackers though. Jordan Lake and Shann Schillinger should have gotten invites for defensive backs. Schillinger is athletic enough to play cornerback but that will never happen in today's NFL. As usually there are only a few highly rated white defensive ends but almost no defensive tackles. Another forbidden position for whites.

They have a good chance of signing as undrafted free agents which is better than nothing. Montana's pro day should be on every scouts to do list. Mariani, Schillinger, Levi Horn(GIANT tackle), Daniel Beaudin(TE), Steven Pfahler(TE), Terran Hillestand(Another big O-linemen) are all legit prospects, sadly most of these guys will be ignored

Four black QBs. You forgot to count Armanti Edwards, although you included him in the list.
Even though he's being discussed as a receiver, you know he'll be on the QB roster for whichever NFL team drafts him. They'll just call him the "Wildcat QB".

No Jake Sharp? I know he had a let down year, but he was good last year and was hurt this year...Matt Asiata who was injured and LeGarrett Blount with his slower speed and suspension this year should not be there over the speedy Sharp and either should John Connor (unless it is to test his measurables for a war against the machines lol). There are a few others who you could arguably put Sharp in over as well.

Sharp is foolish if he thinks he will ever earn any kind of money playing football as an underrated white RB unless he appeals for a 5th year of eligibility next year. There is no way Sharp ever gets "one carry" in this current anti-white extremism era. Sharp has to return to Kansas if he wants a shot to carry the ball in the NFL and get rich.

Jake's lack of a combine invite should clue him in to the fact that the NFL does not want white RBs- so he is going to have to do more! Turner Gill IMO would be more fair to him for a final hurrah at Kansas than Mangino was. If anyone knows if someone who knows Jake has been on dwid's Youtube video of him, you should send them this post to be passed on to Jake.

I've got more to say lol:
Bo McNally, Matt O'Hanlon, Jordan Lake all who I've watched and Matt Harris of Arkansas who I trust JC about (I think that's his name) all have at least the potential, skill set and productivity to get a shot to be good DBs if things were fair. But...since I'm not a wealth of knowledge of safeties I'll reserve judgment to someone else for who they should have been invited over.

Two white WRs who very arguably should have made this combine are small schoolers Tim Toone and Marc Mariani to give them a chance to showcase their elite speed. Those guys are certainly productive enough WRs in the FCS to get an invite and Freddie Barnes who is black is a shocking snub after the stats he put up, but I predict he'll be added and drafted by the end of the 4th round or early 5th. Other than those three guys not being invited there are no other gripes about snubs.

Arguably either David Sinisi or Trevyn Smith could be there for a FCS runner over Paschall. The biggest disappointment by far is Jake Sharp and the DB selections.

Some of our guys should get added if less underclassmen declare than are predicted. Maybe even a guy like Brett Hamlin will, even though we know his black teammate Roosevelt will first. Good news on the WRs this year!

Just wanted to ask Deadlift about his thoughts on the defensive lineman, LB and offensive lineman snubs. I know Deadlift knows a lot about evaluating these positions which I am a bit of a rookie at. We'd love to hear your feedback deadlift if you have the time! I know lots about RBs, WRs and TEs...followed by SOLID knowledge of QBs and DBs.

8 WR's is incredible. This is a small step, but we are gaining some level of parity at this position. An earlier post last month mentioned that we have a record amount of WR's in the league this year (at least over the last 25 years). I believe that more premier WR's will open the door to the RB position for younger guys like Burkhead and Weghar when they come out.

Being a 'Husker fan, I've watched Matt O'Hanlon the whole year. He didn't give up very many big plays from what I remember. He had an INT in the the Holiday Bowl to set up Nebraska's first score in the game. He had 3 INTs and 12 tackles in the win against Oklahoma. Matt finished the year with 62 tackles, 6 INTs, 2 sacks, and 1 FF. I don't think he gave up too many completions, either. Nebraska has had a lot of coverage sacks this year, so O'Hanlon was a key kog in Nebraska's defense this year.

O'Hanlon should have easily made it, especially since his teammate at SS, Larry Asante made it.

JL, The WR selections look solid, but the DB snubs are blatant racism. Seems like whites who have been productive at times, but have gotten hurt or had some bad games before the combine are ignored PARTICULARLY if they have speed. Jake Sharp and Cody Slate come to mind this year. I remember what a joke it was that RB Chris Henry was drafted so high by Tennessee. Yeah he ran in the 4.3s, but he ran for 3.5 YPC and didn't have the injury excuse Sharp has who still did better his senior year. Jake Sharp had a good year last year too. And as I diagrammed Kahil Bell who ran a 4.76 40 was invited last year after running for 2.8 YPC as a senior. The racism sickens me!

very disappointed in the absence of Jake Sharp.
wide receiver looks a lot better, though Marc Mariani and Tim Toone should definitely be there.

the complete lack of White defensive linemen is a complete joke.

as for the defensive backs, in addition to the names already mentioned above i thought Northwestern's Brad Phillips was a sure invite. also, i would've like to have seen Colorado State's cornerback Nick Oppenneer. he was the closest thing to a shutdown corner the MWC has to offer, even though he is sorely underrated. their gifted safety Klint Kubiak should've been invited, too, but he's been injured a big portion of the year so maybe that impacted his absence.

to add a bit more info on Mariani and Toone, and Weber State tailback Trevyn Smith ...

Toone and Mariani wereUNANIMOUS First-Team selections at wide receiver for the Big Sky Conference, and they both were First-Team in 2008, as well. Toone was also named First-Team as a return specialist. Trevyn Smith became the first running back in conference history (47 years)to earn First-Team honors four years in a row.
smiley32.gif

during the regular season (remember these guys all played in the playoffs) Mariani caught 50 passes for 980 yards with nine touchdowns. Toone caught a league-high 77 passes for 1,058 yards and 10 touchdowns, and he lead the nation with a punt return average of 21.2 per game and had two 90-plus returns for touchdowns this season, including a Big Sky-record 95-yarder. Smith ran for 979 yards and 7 touchdowns and caught 37 passes for another 292 yards, despite battling injuries this season.

Pat Simonds out of Colgate has a good chance of being drafted. He's 6'5 225 and im expecting him to run a mid 4.55. He will probably be used as an H-back in the NFL. I completely forgot about Northwestern's stud safeties along with McCarthy, O'Hanlon and Jordan Lake that should be 5 white dbs. Openner, Harrisand Kubiak would be on the verge of an invite in my opinnion. Edited by: celticdb15

I knew I would miss some guys lol it's a big list. No doubt Armanti will be used as the wildcat specialist and im sure we will hear from the talking heads how he can play quarterback and how he was highly productive, but we will be force fed that Tebow despite double the size of Armanti will not be adequate in the league..

while he would physically measure up withaverage speed and impressive size and strength, Arkansas safety Matt Harris isn't the kind of player who would shine at the Combine, in my opinion. his talents aren't measured by a stop watch.

he's just a damn good football player. hopefully he'll get a shot at the next level, but it's certainly no sure thing.

good call on Pat Simonds, celticdb15. he's another good one that deserves a long look, and i think he would surprise folks with his size-speed combo if he got to perform at the meat market.

Also Jimmy, David Sinisi from my area(Monmouth County) could be a good running back in the NFL. He is up against incredible odds though.

The other BIG DB non invite is Cody Grimm from Va Tech, son of Russ Grimm and a total stud DB. Big time racism here!

Hey rajuncajun...I was just about to mention Cody Grimm; you are very right; even with no invite; I expect him to sneak into the later rounds...he's utilized much the way Pat Tillman was in college; then again Tillman was not taken til the last round(7th) but still managed to be a starter! A team like the Patriots could use him...
Was expecting to see a few others myself....

8 WR's going to the combine is very encouraging indeed! When's the last time this has happened??

Then again on the flip-side....D-Line is absolutely disgusting...only 1 white?? Erik Lorig....I have followed this kind of stuff most of my life; how is this happening....last year no white DT's were drafted; is DT being phased out?? DE is a position that has/had beenheld-on to over the years....BTW Austen Lane looks mixed...

Will Jake Sharp return to Kansas?? This dude has NFL written all over him if he stays healthy... he better get the opportunity....we here on CF can unite and let NFL Combine Scouts and the others know of this blatant racism they play....

DB's 40 times are over rated many times...Edited by: TwentyTwo

Cody Grimm! excellent call! i can't believe we hadn't mentioned him already! *head meets desk*

Grimm not onlyled Va Tech in solo tackles (and total tackles) by a wide margin, he also led the team in tackles for loss, tied for the team lead in fumble recoveries, was third in sacks,AND forced an INCREDIBLE 7 fumbles this year!

wow! now just imagine what he could do if he had any talent ...

Yes, I mentioned Tim Toone earlier guys. Personally, I think Toone, Mariani and Freddie Barnes (black) should have gotten an invite. I still think Pat Simmonds is a great prospect in the 5th round or so, but I don't think he would blaze the track like Toone and Mariani would.

WRs Simmonds, Brett Hamlin, Max Komar and RB Luke Lippincott were all very productive. They are guys that I would invite if I were a scout if less underclassmen declare. In fact if you look simply at level of play- Lippincott and Simmonds should have probably made it already, but it might not help them to anti-white scouts because Lippincott is probably a 4.55-4.6 guy and Simmonds is too. Jake Sharp is the most disappointing snub to me- he'd likely break 4.4 in the 40...Come back to Kansas Jake!
