unfortunely my team, the Devils, lost. But it is a long season
and I will get a chance to experience a lot of great wins this year.

Support your local teams. If we don't go, who will?

I know, like the Devils, these teams offer great discounts on their
tickets. Go enjoy great White athletes that your children can look up
to. Enjoy camaraderie with other White folk who are going through the
same trials and tribulations we all experience. Besides it's a great night out.Go Devils!

A team like the Florida Panthers' really needs to be moved north (and renamed). In my mind, they have been the most "out of place" team in the league.

I've had similar feelings about the Phoenix Coyotes.

Peter Forsberg will play for the Avalanche tonight, his first NHL game in almost three years. I hope he still has something left. He was a beast with great scoring ability combined withtremendous strength and toughness, before injuries took a toll on him.

Went to the Devil's game last night, my 3rd this year. I should go more, it's a great night out. The Devils are finally winning. The arena is in Newark so there are many opportunities to show in real time what we teach our kids.

Forsberg looked solid in his return to the league after a three-year absence:

Peter Forsberg seemed ready for the NHL again Friday night. The Avalanche, however, didn't seem ready for Forsberg.

In his first NHL game in nearly three years, Forsberg made his comeback official and looked at times like the player who used to dominate the league.

Alas, his struggling Avs teammates didn't seem up to handling several of what could have been scoring passes he made and dropped their sixth straight game, 3-1 to the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Don't let Forsberg's final stats on the night fool you. He was a minus-2 in 17:38 of ice time with one shot on goal, but it seemed like the Avs' only truly dangerous scoring moments came when he was on the ice.

"I thought, arguably,

"He actually played better than I thought he would. It's a good step for Peter, but it still doesn't hide the fact that we lost the game."

4-goal-game for the Rangers' Ryan Callahan (American-born): http://sports.espn.go.com/nhl/players/profile?playerId=3331

Several American-born players' are having good seasons.. Phil Kessel, Drew Stafford, Bobby Ryan, Patrick Kane, R.J. Umberger and Keith Yandle come to mind.

Below them right now, players' like David Booth and Blake Wheeler, IMO. And, defensemen Erik Johnson and Jack Johnson need to continue to develop.. still young.

And the emasculation of sports and society continues -- female co-anchor describing what happened, police investigating. Chara isn't a dirty player and that was an unfortunate but not premediated hit. Maybe this October NHL players will join their NFL "cousins" and be sporting pink uniforms and ribbons to symbolize the homo-feminist takeover of Western civilization.

Corey Perry continued his pure dominance, netting 2-goals and an assist against Calgary. Bobby Ryan added his 33rd goal as Anaheim won the game, 4-2.

I think this postseason is going to be absolutely fantastic!

Anaheim clinched a playoff berth! Corey Perry has 50-goals now, and Selanne has 31-goals, explosive team!

Logan Couture, Michael Grabner and Jeff Skinner have been named Finalists for the Calder Trophy.

It's good that they didn't fall for the Subban-hype. Yeah, he had a hat trick against Minnesota.. a team that had already "packed it in" and had a significant number of dreadful games in the latter portion of the season.
