I highly doubt any defensive player this season will have a better game than Mike Vrabel did today. It was a career game and he's had a very good career.

I already know who I'm voting for in this week's player of the week poll.

For all the Mike Vrabel fans. Highlights of today's game.

As long as were lamenting poor play on the part of black quarterbacks, let's throw in poor tackling on the part of black cornerbacks. I can't count how many weak attempts at tackles I saw today made by cornerbacks. These guys would sort of halfheartedly fall at the feet of the ball carrier, or bump into them tentatively with their shoulder pad before sprawling on the field face down. I watched parts of three games today, Houson v San Diego, Wash v NE, and NYG v Mia, and in everyone of them I noticed this same, tentative fear of hitting or getting hit on the part of the cornerbacks.

Troy Aikman made a stereotypical comparison of Wes Welker to Brandon Stokley during the Patriots game, but later on said something to the effect that if someone wanted to draw up the perfect receiver it would be Welker, with his great speed and elusiveness, blocking ability and all-out effort. That was quite a compliment considering that a great receiver is always typecast as black.

I've always liked Aikman as an announcer. He's not perfect, but he ranks up there with Jim Nantz as the most objective announcers describing what's taking place on the field.

What is really bizarre is how often these black QBs "win" when they put up atrocious stats. For instance, Quinn Gray and Vince Young both "won" their games today despite doing as little as possible to contribute to those victories. Mike/Michael Vick started this trend, when his team would somehow win games despite the absence of any credible passing game. But, in his case, at least he did add a real threat with his running. Neither Young nor Gray are doing that. Young, especially, does almost nothing on the field (doesn't even run much any more), yet the Titans win. How can this continually happen? Why wouldn't teams just stack the line against them and dare Young to throw? The Jaguars and Titans are hardly powerhouses that can afford to have a no-talent at QB.

The really sad thing about this is that, no matter how bad they play, if a black QB "wins" a game, we will hear the jock-sniifer's mantra of "all he does is win." Funny, they never said that about Kyle Orton or Rex Grossman.

It is getting harder each week to watch these games. The level of play is so bad that it's an insult to call it professional. The constant injuries and referee huddles, the showboating, the dropped passes and missed tackles- accompanied by endless beer commercials featuring out-of-shape white males acting stupid- it's almost as bad as the NBA (well, don't know if anything could be that bad- at least they still enforce some rules).

What about this latest fashion of players slowing down and dragging their feet or high stepping well before they reach the endzone? It seems to be getting worse as the players try to top each other. On one TD Antonio Gates seemed to be doing the slowing down bit even as a guy was trying to tackle him.

Some people just have a childish predilection for fads I guess. Edited by: Hockaday

"It's about time he makes a play"

Try to reserve your high praise Phil.

The above quote was by I believe Phil Simms when Matt Jones made the spectacular TD catch. Poor Jeff Garcia had inept receivers that were either dropping balls, not looking for the pass, or not fast enough to run under bombs. The last pass by Jeff to Ike Hillard says it all. It was considered a broken-up play. I wonder what they would have said if Matt Jones dropped the game winner like Ike Hillard did. I doubt they would have considered it a "broken-up" play.

i'm concerned aboutBrian Leonard's situation. when he's in, playcalling gets stale and easy to guess for a D. i mean running him out of the single back on 4th and 1 with 9 (NINE!) defenders stacking the box...

he showed his power and some elusiveness on his catches, but Linehan needs to find more creative ways of using Brian. i really hope they don't blame him. when Incognito went down, their o-line went back to playing terrible football.

Was watching the Pats game and with the score 45-7 and 5 minutes to go in the game the Pats went for it on 4th down and 2 yards to go at the Redskins 6 or 7 yard line. They passed on kicking a field goal and Brady ended up throwing a TD to Welker.

This may seem harsh but honestly, if I was the Redskins coach, I would have sent a guy after Brady. I know the Pats can do what they want when they have the ball, that's their right. But they should accept the consequences also. I wonder how Belichek would feel watching his QB get slammed to the ground on his throwing shoulder for a meaningless TD.

The way the Pats kept attacking and scoring against the Redskins until the very end and their demeanor yesterday wasn't very attractive. The Pats win by brute force, driving their opposition into the dust with their defense and by putting up an unreal amount of points on offense. Ordinarily I would be against this, but since they are the whitest team in the league, and much of their scoring is done by whites, I think of it more as revenge against the system even though I know the players don't.

If a team is good enough to look like they are running up the score in the NFL and they are featuring whites, then I'm all for it. Edited by: Colonel_Reb

Vince Young proves his greatness again. He won a game with only six completions--obviously these were the six greatest completions in NFL history.

I would normally bash the Patriots for what they are doing, but as many people have pointed out, it's a white offense smashing black defenses into the ground for 60 minutes.

That's very, very satisfying after having the sports media tell us for years that only black superhumans can even play football.

How in the world could anyone here at CF feel bad or guilty about the dominatingly remarkable performances put up by the Pats this season?

I watch each game and don't blink an eye because it's everything I've been waiting to see since I started watching the NFL. I've watched twenty years of the NFL's lies, I've watched amazing white athletes get scewed over (or now drafted at all) beyond comprehension.

I hope the Pats physically dismantle every opponent this season (Including the black Colts defense). I want every moronic white fan to just shut their f*cking mouths and WATCH as their beloved teams get their "athletic" black defenses run over and smashed into the turf. I want every self-hating no-nothing "sports expert" in America to watch Heath Evens, Wes Welker, and Tom Brady (and maybe Vrabel haha) score touchdown after touchdown in the superbowl.

I hope every passionate fan of this phony league realizes that THEY WERE WRONG...

But the problem Thrashen is that the media has tactics to deal with white success in football.

1) The no credit tactic - white role players who are doing a good job are actually doing nothing. Good white linemen in particular are busy doing nothing every game and have no effect on anything.

2) The blackout tactic - fast white players are not fast, and if they are, the media pretends they didn't see it. No replays, no highlights, no thank you. We don't want fast white guys.

3) The lone black guy tactic - is there a good team that is mostly white? Then the lone black guy on the team is the main reason they are good, and he does all the winning.Edited by: nevada

The Patriots - Redskins game was very enjoyable to watch. It was great to see Vrabel sack and strip the ball from Campbell so many times. Brunell is still the best QB on that team.He deserved a better fate, but Gibbs wanted to make sure he had a black in the driver's seat.

Of all the offensive TD's produced by the Pats this year, 15 of them were scored by white players. Welker has six and is headed for a very nice year. I heard a few times that the Skins secondary was going to derail the Brady express, but we all saw how that turned out. And the highlight forWashington was C. Cooley powering his way to the end zone. Ya gotta love it!

Mr. Thrashen,
I agree with you 100%. I hope after the Patriots beat the Colts by 30 or 40 points or whatever, they taunt all of the stupid, drunk, and obese White fans and then burn down the RCA dome. This would be a win-win scenario for both teams because the stadium would become a symbol to what the Patriots are doing to the NFL, while Indianapolis residents get rid of that eyesore.

The best thing about the Pats is that o-line which dominates opposing defenses. Also regarding Leonard, he is a very good back. Steven Jackson did not play very well before he got injured early in the season and Leonard has done his best behind an injured line and dealing with poor play calling. The fans need to look how Jackson performed the first few weeks of the season before blaming Leonard. When Jackson was in Bulger was actually moving the ball through the air giving Jackson an easier time running the ball but when leonard was in it seems as if the play calling was predictable. No rb could be greatly sucessful in the enviroment.

Thrashen, it's not about what the Pats have done this season. I was talking about them running the ball on 4th and 2 instead of kicking the field goal. In my opinion they drifted into the grey area where we find the unwritten rules about sportsmanship.

If I am managing a baseball team and we're losing by 12 runs in the last inning and the other team steals 2nd base, the batter is getting a fastball in his back. In fact, the batter should be mad at the guy who stole the base, not the pitcher, when he's icing his bruise.

I don't buy into the concept of personal stats at the expense of class. The minorities can make fools of themselves and play for only themselves, but that's not how we do it.

I also don't see the Pats as white as everyone is making them out to be. They do put in the white backups near the goal line, but the only skill position where I see a white guy is slot receiver. Their black starters on offense include the #1, #2 and #3 receivers, the TE, the starting tailback, the backup tailback and the 3rd down tailback. Put the Pats in a close game and they will be as black as most teams except for the white O line. At least the Colts have a white slot receiver and 2 TE's that are white.

The drunk white fans around the internet are starting to whine about the Patriots running up the score.

Maybe if black supermen didn't want to get scored on, they would stop the Patriots? Let's not forget they are paid millions of dollars. MILLIONS. PER PERSON.

Anybody who feels sorry for them or thinks this is bad sportsmanship is just plain crazy. We're now supposed to feel sorry for black supermen millionaires?

THIS AIN'T LITTLE LEAGUE. This is pro sports. And in American football, it's pretty close to outright racial warfare from the black american perspective. This is their sport, they think. This is their game, and white men better not even step on the field.

SO LET THEM GET DOMINATED. SHOVE IT IN THEIR FACES. AND NEVER FEEL BAD ABOUT IT, NOT FOR A SECOND.

Very nice post, GWTJ. You're right when you say this. However, it's not like the Pats white stars are acting like fools or mocking the opposition or dancing or even celebrating TD's. It's Bellichick who's giving these white players a bad name for running up the score on "professional defenders." I just could never feel bad for these rich, overrated a-holes, and never will.

All in all, what a season for white players, huh? Vick may be gone forever, Young (and every black QB accepts McNabb) is sucking every game, white WR's and defenders have lead the lead a few weeks....not to mention the Pats!

Nice job, men!
