He has risen big time over the last 6 months. Scout has just given him 5 stars! WOW! He previously had 4.

Did he just SWAT that ball? A disrupted alley-oop attempt, maybe?

Look at his offer list. A few of them might SHOCK you!

What a naive young man. How many white prep All-American big men have had their careers derailed by Coach K. Will you join this list, Ryan ...

Taymon Domzalski, Shavlick Randolph, Joey Beard, Greg Newton, Chris Burgess ...

Duke: I would worry about their offense tailoring to guards more than big men. McRoberts under achieved in this offense as well

Georgetown: ha, haven't had a white player in god knows how long. Would be career suicide.

North Carolina: Great program, but some many top recruits each year that Ryan could get lost in the shuffle or wait years to get playing time.

Notre Dame, Wake Forest and Vandy: All big time programs where Ryan could step in and have an immediate impact.

I would probably chose ND or Wake.

Thank you for mentioning Josh McRoberts, another waste of talent at Duke. He came in as a top 5 player in the class ... and left as a second-round draft pick, after never having a 20-point game for Duke -- then ended up in the D League!

Christian Laettner graduated in 1992. All the wasted white big men I listed came after him, hoping to be the next one, only to be failed by Coach K's system.

If Kelly had gone to Georgetown, when Nate Lubick arrived the Hoyas would pretty soon be starting two white forwards.Edited by: GreatLakeState

Great Lake State maybe had McRoberts stayed longer than his sophomore year i believe? He could have better utilized his talents and who knows could have had an entirely different career in the NBA. Nearly every analyst said he was not read yto declare for the draft but he did it anyways..What is your take on Kyle Singler?

As a virtually lifelong Duke fan, I am glad Kelly will be playing for the Devils. It gives me another reason to keep rooting for them in addition to Singler, Paulus, Scheyer and Zoubeck.Edited by: guest301

If he had stayed, he would have ended up like all the other naive chumps who played for years for Coach K. McRoberts would have been a lottery pick out of high school. Under K's tutelage, he went from MVP of the McDonald's All-American game, to the D League.

Singler will be fine, because he's not a big man.
