    Signing Day

Can you elaborate? What is "OC"? Outside of California? EDIT: Nevermind, just looked around and I think you are talking about Oaks Christian.Edited by: ManifestDestiny

    Signing Day

Thanks for doing this guys, appreciate it. Interesting to see Ryan Swope going to A&M, I'll definitely be keeping an eye out for him to see if he gets any playing time. http://www.footballrecruiting.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=909 549Edited by: ManifestDestiny

Sorry I haven't even looked through much of the database like others here have. I am sorry to waste your valuable time.

some observations of college signing day

I was going to reply with a post but this about sums up my thoughts in a much better manner than I could have. GREAT POST.Edited by: ManifestDestiny

    RB -- Beau Blankenship

Great news to see him getting a chance. I'd love to see him "prove the doubters wrong" so to speak.

some observations of college signing day

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. I believe the sole reason BYU has so many white and polynesian players is for the fact that it is connected to the Mormon (err, I guess that's not PC anymore but whatever) faith.

    Signing Day

Is there going to be a thread on all the signings of white players per team, along with perhaps what "rating"? They were given? I think compiling a huge list of all the top white players would be a good way to keep tabs on people to follow, though I'm not sure if anyone has the kind of time to...

Is Gaffney going to be a runningback or fullback? Scout and Rivals have him at FB.

    RB Dillon Romain

Well, Rutgers and Central Michigan are interested according to his scouting report, both are 1A at least.

Why was Sam McGuffie so highly recruited?

I'm in the Houston area so I know what you mean there. Speaking of Rex Burkhead, just looked him up and apparently he had tons of offers from big name schools, according to this. Wow, I guess the attention is what does make the difference! Edited by: ManifestDestiny

    Joe Guzzardi on Mark Sanchez

Does Sanchez count as a "white player"? I don't know his background that's why I'm asking.

Why was Sam McGuffie so highly recruited?

It just seems strange that we hear of so many talented white players in high school get hosed in terms of recruiting, and yet Sam McGuffie got big time offers at the runningback position. Was it the stats? Certainly he had good production but other white players have had good production as...

    2008 Texas Longhorns

Right, blacks are able to overcome the injury label. We are talking about a white guy at a skill position. I think teams will be too cautious. Now, if he has another great season, then I'm sure teams will look past it. But if he is average/below average and teams think the injury had...

    2008 Texas Longhorns

Shipley's injury history means he will not be a high draft pick, if he'll even be drafted at all.

    Florida DB snubbed

How do you propose to teach them? In some seminars? Good luck trying to get a bunch of white athletes together without attaching a negative stigma to it. You know the media would never allow such a thing unless it was for black players only, in which it would be encouraged and highly publicized.

    Adrian Peterson

After reading around this site, it's clear that most (if not all) here are anti-black and pro-white. Me? I'm here because this site has some good content about white players not getting a fair chance at playing football in many positions, which I agree with wholeheartedly. And yet when I make...

Rooney Rule will be gone soon?

I was reading PFT and they had an article about how teams are now hiring minority candidates much more effectively and Mike Florio talks about possibly getting rid of the rule. I agree that it needs to go (I'm sure most of you here will, too) but I do think it has made some progress. I'm not...

    Jim Leonhard

I was amazed yesterday when I heard the announcers refer to Leonard as an "all-around athlete" during the Ravens game. It was a breath of fresh air. He's been playing very well lately and teamed with Ed Reed produce a very good Baltimore secondary. I'm looking forward to watching him...

    2009 Coal bowl

John Lynch is another that kept making it way past his good days when he could actually cover someone. I am glad Welker at least made it as a reserve, he's racking up catches every year. He's got unbelievable quickness, the kind that NFL Draft scouts will exclusively attribute to black...

Is football the worst sport racially?

I'd have to say the NBA is. It's become almost unwatchable at this point anyways, college bball is much more enjoyable to watch people play for pride rather than money. The NFL is still up there but at least there are still "white" positions and white stars.

    White RBs 2008

True, it's just not homerun-hitter fast. But if he can play then none of that matters, give him the dang ball!

I’m actually excited about AFC playoffs!

The NFL is not colorblind, but it is also not as extreme as many on here make it out to be. I think there is obvious biases in terms of some positions like defensive back and runningback, but quarterback is one position where whites have always been given a chance to excel. Black quarterbacks...

I’m actually excited about AFC playoffs!

While I don't see it as that extreme, I think you are right but not for the reason you stated. Childress drafted Jackson in the 2nd round, traded up for him, it was widely regarded as a bad move. After his first few seasons being a a bust, he started this season terribly and, at the cost of...

    Adrian Peterson

He does fumble alot, I'll give you that, but even compared to other white players in the league, Peterson is a genuinely "good guy" that is a rarity in pro sports. I mean, I'm first and foremost a Vikings fan, so I will inevitably cheer for the various players that are on the team, so I...
