    2009 Detroit Lions

It's a crime that both Standeford and Looker were cut. Hopefully each gets signed to another team, or worst case scenario at least a squad. Justice was somewhat served (not really ) in that the most inept Keary Colbert was also cut. wtf @ underlines lawlerz...

    Nate Davis?

Does anyone have any information as to what race (likely mixture of races) Nate Davis is? I've tried doing a bit of research, but haven't found much thus far. I've eliminated the obvious () but am still a tad curious... Edited by: Synapse to synapse

    Linebackers and...

I think he'll soon go the way of Jamal Reynolds. Waste of a pick, but at least he'll be out of Green Bay, and Packer fan's minds.

    a white tight end?

Well, it was pretty underwhelming, but in 2003 the Packers signed and had Wesley Walls on their roster, who was a great career TE, though that was his final year, and he mainly backed up Bubba Franks. But I agree, since GB has started a white TE has been since Mark Chmura, and he was a great player.

    Linebackers and...

I am still at a loss for as Green Bay felt the need to convert a PRO BOWL Defensive End to Linebacker. Will Aaron Kampman be able to make the transition? I certainly think so, and all news from camp say he is doing so relatively well (aside from him being a tad upset), and as you've said he has...

    Peyton Hillis

Nice article, Don! Here's another one that is pretty relevant to Peyton Hillis (despite not being the main focus of the article ): http://www.nfl.com/trainingcamp/story?id=09000d5d811d8746&amp;template=without-video-with-comments&amp;confirm=true <div> <h1>Oft-injured RB Torain...

    Stewart Bradley

This is heartening news. Just look at Babin over the years (not that any of us would need to ): http://www.nfl.com/players/jasonbabin/careerstats?id=BAB714004 He put up great numbers for a rookie (or any player), had a bit less productive second year, but that would be no reason to worry. He...

    Eric Weddle in the NFL

Weddle slightly injured in training camp...curses. http://www3.signonsandiego.com/stories/2009/aug/06/7chnotes203756-notes-chargers/?chargers It's actually a pretty funny article. He ran into Quentin Jammer, and he was the lesser injured of the two, and is saying how sorry he was, being...

    Kevin Curtis

Well, there's been injuries all around. Kevin Curtis has said his nagging injury from last season is better, and that he was at 100%, but now he had a thigh contusion which has kept him out of practice a few times. However, just today, Desean Jackson is being reported as having injured his...

    2008 Cardinals

I feel that he's safe in that he has a position on the roster, it's just how high or low he'll be placed on the depth chart. As you said, he was the 4th receiver all of last season, and had a productive year in such a limited role. Certainly, he has the ability to be a starter for numerous NFL...

Marginal White players on NFL rosters

http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-training-camps/09000d5d81191a1c/On-the-fringe-Lance-Long This is a pretty good video featuring Lance Long of the Cardinals. I think he has a good shot at making the team, given how hard he's been working out (coming in on weekends/offdays, etc.) and the fact he's...

    Matt Jones Released

http://www.nfl.com/news/story?id=09000d5d81180781&amp;template=with-video-with-comments&amp;confirm=true Maybe the Ravens will sign him? With both Mason and Bennett retiring, there's some hope...maybe...

    Tony Scheffler

I really hope Marshall gets traded. That would benefit not only Scheffler, also Stokley. He'd hopefully emerge from the slot position (not that his being there is necessarily bad, but...) and get more time and looks too. Eddie Royal would probably become #1 and Stokley #2. Unless they just kept...

King of Pop is no more!

I'm not completely negligent to the disease, I know who it can and does effect (e.g. anyone), but it does specifically list sexual activity and multiple partners as increasing the risk. Eh, probably a bit unfruitful, I'll admit. I mean, there's no doubt Farrah was pretty promiscuous, but I...

    Joe Alexander

Yeah, I just found out Oberto isn't actually going to the Bucks. He was traded away later that day to the Pistons for Amir Johnson. I'd much rather have had Oberto in Milwaukee, and was somewhat looking forward to that idea.

    Joe Alexander

I'm happy that Jefferson (mostly his contract ) is gone, and I'm glad Alexander's time will increase. Getting Oberto is another positive. However, I cannot express the my chagrin having to deal with Bowen in Milwaukee. King of all thugs. Edited by: Synapse to synapse

    Jacob Hester, RB

While I was not overly enthused upon the completion of that article, I'm trying to look at the positive side of things (which I do believe are present). I would love for there to be a white featured RB in the NFL, and Hester being one of my favorite players, it'd be awesome if it were him. No...

    J.J. Redick

Wishful thinking, most likely, but hailing from Wisconsin, I would love to see Turkoglu in a Bucks jersey. I think he'd fit in nicely with our already fairly white team. Journeymen such as Andrew Bogut and Luke Ridnour, and the upstart Joe Alexander would complement a veteran like Hedo nicely, I...
