Stallworth Case

Agreed. It has nothing to be with his being black. Dany Heatley drove recklessly, killed his teammate, and was charged with vehicular homicide as well. He pled down to a lesser charge, didn't do a day in jail, and played for the Thrashers that same season. In Stallworth's case, thevictim's...

I didn't see the race. There must have been a false start or something. Good result, nonetheless. Looks like Craig just needs good competition to drop his times.

    Jonathan Borlee(2009 NCAA 400 Meters Nat'l Champ!

Craig's parentswere both sprinters, so you might be onto something.Sprinters here in America hook up all the time, so lets hope they do in Europe as well. Leroy Burrell (6.48 60m,9.85 100m) and his wife Michelle(7.07 60m, 11.16 100m) have 3 sons. Tim Montgomery (9.92, 9.78 Balco)and Marion...

    Jonathan Borlee(2009 NCAA 400 Meters Nat'l Champ!

Come on, guys. 10 of the top 12 400m guys in the world are black. Can we AT LEAST get 7 of the top 12 before we start getting excited about a this "takeover"? While it's a start, 2 out of 12 just doesn't do it for me.

    Bryce Harper

He had a 502 foot bomb in this video. If he can drive 40 mile per hour batting practice pitches that far, I'm sure he could do 570 ft if he catches an 85 to 90 MPH fastball on the meat of the bat. Also, it was with an aluminum bat. I doubt anyone could...

Today's the 25th anniversary of Marian Woronin's 10 flat. Since then, we've only gone sub-10.06 twice, and once was at altitude. Two times in 25 years just isn't gonna cut it. This year, 42 blacks, and one Japanesefrom 12 different countries have run faster than our fastest guy.. and that...

I would also throw in Gerald Phiri, who has a 10.13, and Harry Aikines-Aryeety, who has a 10.10 with the wind, and 10.17 against. Both of their PB's are faster than Craig, and they're only 20 years old. Craig should make the relay pool, but with Chambers now in the mix, I'll be surprised if he...

We don't even have to limit it to US sprinters. Globally, we haven't run a sub 10.10 in 6 years, and onlyrun asub-10.07 once in11 years. And Macro's high altitude 10.03 would have been a10.09 at sea level. That's crazy when you compare it to Japan having 9 sub 10.10's over those same 11...

Wariner is back and may threaten 43.19!

You didn't really answer the question.Wariner's speed has no bearing on Merritt's potential. There's absolutely no reason whatsoever to assume he's done at 22, and/or that he won't get any faster. These arestarting to sound like thatsame presumptive declarations the board was making last summer...

Wariner is back and may threaten 43.19!

Merritt's only 22. Why wouldWariner continue getting faster at 25, while Merritttops out at 22? I'd think winning the gold would only make him hungrier. Wariner ran his PB 3 years after winning his gold.

A 10.16 at +3.0 wind equals 10.30 at no wind, anda 10.26 at +1.5 wind equals a 10.34 with no wind as well. I was looking for better times considering 10 has already been breached, but I guess it's still early for him.Edited by: Pierce
